Bengals Place DT Tank Johnson on IR

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that defensive tackle Tank Johnson has been placed on injured reserve.

Johnson has a sprained knee that has kept him out of the last three games, and was likely going to keep him out of Thursday night's game against the New York Jets.

Bennett (6-1, 200) was a fourth-round pick (123rd overall) out of South Carolina by the Houston Texans in 2007. After totaling 123 tackles and 5 interceptions in 40 games, including 17 starts, the Texans waived Bennett before the start of the 2010 season.

Claimed by the San Diego Chargers, Bennett had one special teams tackle in four games before he was placed on waivers.
