Chicago Bears restricted free agent defensive end Mark Anderson has signed his one-year tender, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Anderson, a fifth-round pick (159th overall) out of Alabama in 2005, was tendered the "Second Round" level, which carries a $1.759 million dollar base salary for 2010.
Anderson burst onto the scene as a rookie, earning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month honors after posting six quarterback sacks in the month of October. Anderson was also runner-up to Houston Texans linebacker Demeco Ryans in NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting in 2006.
A starter in 17 of his 62 games with the Bears, Anderson has amassed 105 tackles, including 21.5 quarterback sacks, and 5 forced fumbles.
With Anderson signing his tender, safety Danieal Manning is the lone unsigned Bears restricted free agent.
