If there was ever a white GM that needed to get on the horn with another free-agent White guy, it's Ted Thompson.

In what many have called one of the greatest blunders of Ted Thompson's tenure, releasing special team standout Tracy White in favor of Danny Lansanah has to be pretty close to the top of the list. It would be both a redeeming and much needed move if Thompson returned White to Green Bay where he belongs.

No one has been able to step and and fill the void left by Tracy White's departure. He almost made a Pro-Bowl, caused a fumble on punt coverage in the 2007 Championship Game (we won't talk about that result Will Blackmon) and is coming off perhaps his best season ever. At 28-years-old he is now in the prime of his career.

I'll even wager that Tracy White has more coverage tackles per play than any Packer in recorded history. With a special teams unit that has cost us games since White left for Philadelphia, this is a golden opportunity to bring in a free-agent that immediately fills a very unique role. Yes, let the "not worth the money" nay-sayers come out, but come playoff time next season, you will be extremely relieved having a guy like White on the field.

I'm going to go a step further and predict that he will be.
