Arrivederci Aaron

If you have hung out here for more than an hour or so, you know it is rare for me to say anything good about anything. However, barring some weird twist, I would like to take this opportunity to bid Aaron Kampman farewell.

I don't think there is anyone (bar Nagler) that is going to feel anything but gratitude and respect for our former defensive end. If you had to find a role model in an NFL player you need go no further than Aaron Kampman. He has been a true professional, a community man, and one hell of a player for our Green Bay Packers. The business end of this game may have forced some hands, but let's not let history be forgotten.

Over the last decade we have seen many Packers leave. Rarely have we been able to send them off with well wishes. There are two lists in my mental Rolodex:

1. Javon Walker - Mike McKenzie - Darren Sharper - Brett Favre

2. Aaron Kampman

Best of luck Kamp, unless you're up against the Packers.

I know this clip is going overboard, but it cracked me up.

Good post. I hate to see him go, but he's not a good fit in the 3-4. Let's hope he goes to an AFC team.

Well, this is the way it works in the league, sometimes you've just got to say goodbye. We'll miss you Kampman :(

"Bar Nagler" - you're right, gonna hate watching the guy I called "a great man, and a great football player" leave. Hate those kind of guys,

I said it after the first couple games when it was obvious Kampman just couldn't work the 3-4 defense: I hope he does well in a 4-3 defense in the AFC next year.

Until he signs with another team, I won't believe he's gone.

He's visiting Philly today and has the Bucs, Seattle and the Bears all salivating for him. Even if he were happy in Green Bay, it's be tough to see him sticking around.

One of my favorites, hands down. Green Bay should name a street after him - a pond at the very least. Best of luck, AK!

Seattle and Tampa, you better be good to him, because if you doesn't the lounge will be there.

Kampman blows...and the only one who blows MORE is Ted Thompson.....

Why to go Tee Tee...you've now just ensured 3rd place in the NFC North, (and perhaps fourth) with your dynamism in Free Agency...hehe...

1. Vikings
2. Bears
3. Packers/Lions....

Ted Thompson SUCKS...Literally.
There is no doubt. You fools are happy with one and done in the Wild Card round....

Welcome back, 1970's......

JJ did you see Leno the other night with Favre on? Who I am kidding, of course you did. You probably didn't have to buy any adult specials off cinemax bc your favorite diva was on TV.

JJ's on the prowl. Saw him posting douchey stuff over at CHTV too. The world needs douche-bags so us non douche-bags appreciate how awesome not being douchey is.

Never want to see a good player leave, but the 3-4 didnt work for him. And he knew it last offseason. Good luck in JAX AK-we'll miss you!

And he left... To a team that isn't close to us, isn't close to his home, isn't as good as some other teams he could've signed with, and that won't play us. Coincidence? I think not. True Packer player, true man. AK74, we'll miss you!

Kamp was a class act and a helluva DE in a 4-3 defense. Glad he went to an AFC team so we won't have to see him again too often. I'll be rooting for him.
