It wouldn't surprise me if Murphy's going through the same decline that TT went through. Personally, I thought that, physically, he looked like crap during that interview. If it later comes out that he does have CTE, I'll be somewhat ashamed of myself for thinking/calling him an idiot. IMHO this is it. It's not a matter of whether it's important to hear from him but rather what he says. Certainly there should be a leadership voice with a coherent, clear, and, one hopes, truthful message-- even if that message is a Ted Thompson "I'm not going to talk about that publicly"-- but Murphy's comments seem as though he was unprepared for the questions.

Moreover, this isn't the first time for him. He's bobbled some responses in the past which should have been rehearsed and delivered smoothly and gracefully.

And if he's trying to send a signal to Rodgers, well, that would be a whole different level of poor management. I won't speculate.

If they’re just waiting to hear from Rodgers, then an agreement with the Jets has already been made and anything he said has no impact on the trade terms. Nor was there anything he said that would have been news to Rodgers. This is a non-issue.

We have neglected having qualified tight-end his whole career with GB. Cobb was a great slot receiver when younger, but then Amari was the savior and how the fuck did that work out?
