Welcome! Oh, and You\'re Wrong...

McCarthy looks weak. He knows it. Somehow, he must project strength at this press conference in the days ahead. Lets face it: he was bullied. Now he must convince the team he controls the bully. Aint gonna happen.
Huh? McCarthy is the only one who comes out of this looking halfway competent, in my opinion. And how was he bullied exactly? Thompson has been, without question, but McCarthy, especially since the beginning of training camp, has been the only one talking what even resembles any modicum of sense.

See, I don't understand this either, but for different reasons.
Brett Favre has a contract. Brett Favre wants to play. Brett Favre has the ability to control where he plays. Sure, the Packers could release him, but that would be an awful business decision.
So I don't agree with the sentiment that McCarthy, Thompson, and the Packers were bullied by Favre. In a sense I guess they were, but the bottom line was Favre had a contract that they had to abide by. Again, releasing him obviously wasn't a palatable option for the franchise. Nor is trading him to Minnesota (although this is certainly subjectt to change.)

Agree with all but your last point. Trading him to the Vikings is a real option, and one I suspect will happen. The Packers have a great, young team - Favre or no - that is only getting better. Getting something for Favre is gravy.

Oh, my "this is subject to change" meant that they could still end up dealing him to Minnesota.
Agree with your assessment of the Pack though. I'm actually really excited about our running game. Grant as the featured back, Morency on 3rd downs, and Jackson getting a series or two a game. Should be fun to watch.
