Watching Brett Favre\'s Press Conference

It's otherworldly watching him announce his retirement. I'm tearing up at my desk.

"I hope that with every penny they've spent on me, they know it was money well spent," he said. "It wasn't about the money or fame or records. I hear people talk about your accomplishments and things. It was never my accomplishments, it was our accomplishments."

I don't know who was crying harder, Brett or me.

I swear we all need group therapy right now. I still can't believe that he's actually left the game. He said that now he knows what it is like to be dead, and it certainly feels like a death. I think I'm in the denial stage right now. I'm just so bummed about this. We are not going to see someone like Favre for a long, long time, if ever.

I knew it was eventually going to happen... but this just doesn't feel right.

Bummed is the perfect word... I am incredibly bummed.
