Tramon Williams Headed For Pro Bowl
Packers cornerback Tramon Williams is an injury replacement for Philadelphia's Asante Samuel.
Turns out cornerback Tramon Williams will be headed to the Pro Bowl after all. He's an injury replacement for Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel who will miss the game due to injury.
According to a press release from the Packers:
Williams, who was signed by the Packers to the practice squad as a free agent in November 2006, started all 16 games this season for the first time as a pro and led the team with a career-high six interceptions and a career-best 23 passes defensed. He also added a career-high 63 tackles (54 solo), two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a sack.
Of course, Williams' participation hinges upon the outcome of Sunday's NFC Championship game. With the Pro Bowl slated for the week before the Super Bowl in Hawaii, players qualifying for the NFL's title game won't be playing.

I love all your optimism. I, too, believe he will be missing the Pro Bowl. Poor guy, trading his lei for a diamond-encrusted ring. BUT, no problems with the article. As of right now, he's a pro bowler. Let's give him that, win or lose.

Why all the cheer?
This is a joke and yet a larger insult to Tramon.
Sorry and I know many will disagree but being awarded something "HE SHOULD HAVE WON"and now given due to an"injury"(ahem)is akin to being given "a candy bar after it's already been bitten".
We see the same crap every year and every year half the players voted in don't belong there and renege on going anyhow.
Honestly,Chad Clifton had a "PRO BOWL" year.
The voting of one(got no life) fan to cast a vote a million times over,says it all for me.
To Tramom and Rodgers I say only this,"SUPER BOWL RINGS" never lose their luster.
Where are those voted by the fans ahead of you guys,that's right watching you on TV getting ready to go to Dallas.
