Thursday Night LIVE: Hurricane Watch

Remember this little bit of information? According to a re-tweet from Packers beat reporter Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, general manager Ted Thompson was reportedly watching Miami University scrimmage back in August.

Make sure to come back to Cheesehead TV tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Lambeau time when our homepage is taken over by one of our popular live chats. We'll be following along with the Miami-Pittsburgh Thursday night college football game on ESPN.

So who might have Ted Thompson been watching?

Miami has a pair of outstanding draft-eligible defensive linemen in senior defensive end Allen Bailey (6-4, 288) and junior defensive tackle Marcus Forston (6-3, 310).

As for Pitt, they have an outstanding defensive lineman of their own in reigning Big East Defensive Player of the Year Greg Romeus (6-6, 270). In addition, they have one of the best wide receivers in the college game with Jonathan Baldwin (6-5, 225).

Of course, we'll be talking about the upcoming Monday Night Football match-up pitting the Packers against the Chicago Bears as well.

Hope to see you this evening.

Is there a way to repost the draft chat? And from the prospects you listed, all of them seem to be in spots we're relatively strong in and none in our weak spots. Maybe that's just me

I just listed some of the best prospects in the game, Jay. I can't help it that Miami's and Pitt's best prospects don't line up with the needs of the Packers. But if there's one thing to be learned from Ted Thompson, he doesn't draft exclusively for need.

You can read the draft chat for the next week at this address:
