The 2 small school OL from S Dakota State really stood out at the combine. Maybe one of them is our late round OL steal that keeps our streak of diamonds in the rough going.

I would be really happy with King Sua@ #25, but I would love him @ #41.

I think that the Packers think they have two starting tackles for 2024, and they have some projects that they've been working with for a while like Jones. I'd take Graham Barton because he could start at many different positions on the line, and you never know where the next injury is going to hit.

Barton's arms are too short for T, shorter than Bulaga's were. I'd rather see them take Limmer two round later. Not many guys are that strong and agile. Played 1500 snaps at RG before moving to C last year. Testing numbers very close to Linsley's but better.

And yet, many people more knowledgeable than us think he's a five position player. According to about 2 minutes of research I did, his arms are 33 1/4, just like Tom's. Weird coincidence, huh?

IMO, you take Mr. Versatility and put him where you need him. He's our sixth guy. The next season, 2025, you can start him at Center. Right now, if Jenkins and Tom had injuries that kept them out of the lineup, our offensive line would look like this: Walker, Newman, Myers, Rhyan, Mt. Caleb.

Yes, your eyes are OK, that's just ugly. We have the QB, we have the weapons, but if we can't keep good blockers in front of them for 17 games it's not going to make a big difference. And remember, this is not just about 2024, it's about the next several years of the Love Window. his peak years, and a high power LaFleur offense, because nothing good happens on offense if people don't get blocked.

I do like the heads up on Limmer. He'd be a good choice for us at #88 or #91 Another guy from that Arkansas team is the RB, Raheem Sanders. This is a classic Gutekunst player in the sense that his junior season was much better than his senior season. He's never been charged with a fumble.

Actually his arms measured 32¾ at the combine. I'd much rather have Fautanu than Barton. He might be shorter but has 34½" arms and can play G or T. Also bothered to test at the combine. Barton didn't which is a flag for an uninjured OL.

Don't you think that room could use help or an upgrade in coaching? Seems like we've started the last two seasons unprepared and haven't even decided on the best five to put on the field.

I understand it's disruptive to have your left tackle get hurt in the first game, but they weren't prepared the year before either, when they knew he wouldn't play.

The Packers, in my opinion, believe they have two starter tackles in Jones and some long-term projects in the works for 2024. Since Graham Barton can start at multiple locations on the line and you never know where an injury will occur, I'd go with him. https://happy-wheels.co

Don't overlook Frank Crum, OT - Wyoming, as a late round pick. He's 6-8 313 lbs and has a 9.82 RAS. For such a big guy, he ran the 40 in 4.94 seconds, had a 31.5-inch vertical, 9-foot-2 broad jump and is skilled at the position. He played in the Mountain West so he gets overlooked by most Mock Drafts. Still, I could see the Packers picking him up in the sixth round with pick 204 or, after having such a good combine, rising as high as pick 168 in the fifth round. If they can get Rasheed Walker in the seventh round (pick 249) and make him a starter, they can do the same with Frank Crum, who has two more inches on Rasheed and is 10 pounds leaner.

It looks like Barton ran a really slow 5.40 40 @ the combine. The fat guy, Sweat actually was faster. While I do think it's ridiculous that they make guys that big run 40 yard dashes,Barton's was one of the slowest at the event. Especially for one of the lightest O-linemen there.

It really seems like the ultimate OL choice for us, especially because we are picking @ # 25 and will miss on the best OTs, is to draft a player that can excel @ OG/OT. Kill 2 birds with one stone. So, is Barton really that guy? I read that he has played all 3 positions, but can he be a starter at any of them for GB? Other players like Beebe, Puni, Glaze, and Brandon Coleman have all excelled at OT and OG, and can be had with later picks so they have more value.

Fautanu has been projected to be a good choice to excell @ OG, and actually Sua could probably play both positions equally well. Javon Foster and Christian Jones are OTs that have been talked about that could play OG as well.

My point is that if Barton can't start @ OT for the Packers, we are talking about him being OG/OC exclusively. So is he better than Powers-Johnson, Limmer, Frazier, Zinter, or Puni, Beebe, Glaze or Coleman at playing OG/OC.

Other than Fautanu, Sua, and Powers-Johnson, all these other players will be picked after the first round. So we can fill the same roles that Barton would play with later picks. And then we can use the earlier pick on other needs.

Sua would be my #1 choice of linemen that should still be on the board for GB. Because he is good enough to start @ OT or OG from day 1. Any pick we make in the first round should be a starter, period.
