The good: Jaire Alexander, Carrington Valentine, Karl Brooks, pass and run defense, well basically the whole defense except the pass rush especially with all of the injuries, not making a backup QB look like Tom Brady, Aaron Jones, Luke Musgrave and I'll throw one in for the first time in a long time, Jordan Love.

The bad: key drops again, special teams return coverage and the pass rush was virtually non-existent today.

The ugly: ridiculous penalties that have become simply inexcusable and each week it seems the refs are calling many phantom penalties on GB, the injuries, Jordan Love's deep ball (just side-arm it Love, the dude throws it on a rope and it's always on the mark when he side-arms it) and turnovers (this time it wasn't on Love) after not fumbling it all year we've had 4 fumbles in the last 2 games. Step it up GB.

On to the next one!

I agree that the two offsides penalties on Runyan were close but when they call one he should say well I have to back up 6 inches. He is a guard he is right next to the ball.

I agree with Nagler. The NFL hates football. Ridiculous officiating is ruining this sport. Almost turning it into pro wrestling, 2.0.

Wins are GOOD—against any team.
Bad: the officiating—again!
Ugly: Dumba$$ penalties or turnovers in critical situations.
Go Packers!!!

Good - were not the worst team in the nfl
Ugly - ball handling issues at this stage of season
Bad - play calling using the run to hide your lack of faith in qb. Ps if love is okay with handing off the ball. Hes playing the wrong sport.

If you are moving the ball by handing off keep doing it. It is called do what works.

you hit it right on the head, all you fans bleeding green and gold/yellow have to come to conclusion. This team is one of the worst in league bottom six.

good? Brooks, JA finally showed up hello? run defense was not all that bad, running game ok
bad- Jordan Love stats says he was pretty good, please he's just not the answer can't throw down field no sense when to throw the ball, side arm crap (you are not AR stop trying to be him.) doesn't help when your coach calls those plays.

Ugly, dumb penalties again goes to coaching, head in neutral zone on offense twice, anyone else feel like this kicker is one bad game away from meltdown. All you hunters in mid west know that look. Deer in headlights?
Thank God they played Rams, Joe Barry can breathe for a week again his schemes didn't look to ugly. Think local high school team could have held the Rams to 3 points.

There were some positives individually, but overall, even with Jones, the O wasn’t particularly impressive and the D did well against an offense which couldn’t threaten on the ground or in the air. That’s all they could do and, knowing that, we played more aggressively. A trait of Barry Ds against weak opponents that vanished if they start to get yards. Valentine needs to play that way.

Some individual player growth, not much offensive growth tactically. Pretty clear evidence that Nijman is one if our best 5 and it looks like a good argument that Rhyan may be too. Not surprising.

A win over a weak team that had lost its QB. The needle hadn’t moved on the coaching.

c'mon Coldworld. If it isn't evident to you, let me spell it out. Rasul Douglas was dragging the team down. Barry can now give up that soft zone shit he had to play with Rasul in the lineup, and the true attacking nature, the real Barry defense is going to blossom.

I'm sticking with that narrative for another week.

"A win over a weak team", is better than losing to one. Babby steps? It seemed the coaching staff won because they didn't cause the loss? Got out of their own way?

As long as they don't have much continuity, I like that they're shuffling the O-line after noticeable mistakes (although Nijman was due to injury) I think it helped Walker to lose a start. I just wish we could try Caleb Jones a little, even if it's at the end of the game while Wilson is trying to eat up the clock running the ball.

I mean they completely dominated on defense. A backup QB yes but they also have maybe the best WR in the league back in Kupp and Puca has been tearing teams up. We also stopped the run, about 2.5 yards per carry with Clark out half the game, also missing Walker. That is not something I would discount. Also nearly 400 yards of offense against a stout front with Aaron Donald.

20/26. The ONLY inaccurate ball was the deep one for Watson that was short.

The other 5 were ALL drops.

No one, not even Rodgers, has perfect pinpoint control on every ball.

WRs, RBs, and TEs all need to adjust somewhat to just about every ball ever thrown in the NFL. Nothing Love threw was off by even a little on those 20 completions.

Heck, even Watson could have bird dogged the defender into believing the ball was accurate--the DB was out of position and not tracking it well--and then surprised him by coming back for the catch. He's coasted on immense talent for far too long in his life. It's time to learn the subtle trick of the trade, because he has none at this point.

The Good:
Pack wins, Yeah... GPG :/

The Bad:
One J.V. team beats up another. This is a bad team folks and that pains me to admit it. The Douglas trade only amped the issue. Love got away with some horrible passes. This is not the mark of a starting QB. Maybe he needs to be mentored as a back up for awhile. I seriously don't see him as a starter yet.

The Ugly:
8 freaking penalties for 57 yards? O-Line allows 4 sacks? = Face-Palm !
Near ZERO discipline, how else can you surmise the sloppy and bone-headed penalties? This is a direct reflection on COACHING. I'm thinking the players are losing respect for their leader (MLF). When a coach loses the players respect it becomes "lights out" and the call "Next". I hope I'm wrong but it seem like this may be happening in the locker room.

It almost seems like Gute's moves is setting up LeFluer's fall intentionally. But we'll never really know for sure.

Yeah, we got a win but it just felt like Meh, the players are just going through the motions to save their own job(s).

The Good (GREAT) --- the design of the play on which Musgrave was WIDE OPEN for the touchdown. Clear example that maybe MLF is an offensive genius. Maybe.
The Bad --- the penalties we did commit. Too many. Too many yards. Driver killers. GOTTA clean this up.
The Ugly --- the penalties we were called for that we did not commit, especially the offsides on the offense on TWO QB sneaks! Who in the history of the NFL ever heard of that being called once, much less twice. If NFL brass want to stop the "push the pile" on sneaks, just make pushing the pile illegal.
No wonder some wags once called the NFL the "No Fun League."

Now that Runyan had two offsides penalties called on him, in this game, he will have a reputation and the officials will be watching him on the OL, with flag in hand. Start Rhyan at RG. Officiating has gotten out of control.

The Good: all the young guys stepping up when given a chance to play.

The Bad : penalties penalties penalties (however, Nags is right about the NFL’s penchant for over-calling penalties)

The Ugly: first half offense - again! Maybe it’s time to throw out the “first 15 scripted plays” and just wing it to start the game.

the refs pre game go over past performance and look for things. if a team has a lot of holding calls they look for that as well as alignment being off sides. GB cheats they get caught

Yes- Love played good. Better timing and awareness.
Do I think he's the QB of the future- No
The packers confidence grew this game.
It's take one game at a time!
And Jones has the vision we need in Dillion.
I prefer Wilson gets more touches.
Expect more = Love to Musgrave.

Good - Packers showing some heart for first time in weeks. Also throw in the kids not giving up or pointing fingers. Also, first game all year where it wasn’t obvious that WRs and TEs ran the wrong routes.
Bad - injuries continue to decimate the team. Losing Clark.
Ugly - players trying to do too much as opposed to doing their own job. Dumb penalties, dumb fumbles, etc. Team should have scored at least 15 more points (2 drive killing penalties, 2 drive killing fumbles, missed FG).

It would be a nice improvement if they show growth every game not just a spurt. It's amazing how they show improvement when the O-line gets a little run blocking success. Opens up everything else.

Run blocking by the O-LIne was much improved.

Open field tackling by LB's and DB's likewise.

Alexander played like a man who is no longer injured.

Carrington Valentine played with conviction - hopefully he makes an omen of the #37 jersey to low draftees\UDFA's (Sam Shields and Tramon both wore it at times) and becomes a keeper.

Love made a great reactive 3rd progression throw to Musgrave (in the 3rd - I think!) but missed him wide open in the second (and took a sack for it). He also sent great throws to Doubs and Watson. I still haven't seen that Favre "chicken salad from chicken $h!t" moment from him but he's far better than Justin Fields.

Perhaps he's still trying to execute a plan rather than playing what he sees in front of him? There were times that I was yelling for him to tuck it and run, but he seemed compelled to have to make a throw.

My final thoughts are that this team went out and played ball today, without any preconceived expectation of winning - and they played better for it! Sure, Stafford would have tried to pick on Valentine more, or pick them apart over the center, but it would have been the same O-line protecting him.

The good - Young talent coming through on defense.
The bad - fumbles
The ugly - undisciplined penalties at key times.

I didn't think Love played great, but very good. He's stilli slow to start. And is not accurate long. But it was great seeing Jones out there getting touches outside of the fumble.

I really thought the secondary was going to get exploited without Rasul but I was impressed with Valentine. And with both starting safeties out too? Thank god Stafford didn't play...

The glass doesn't feel empty now. As they long as they can improve and be competitive, I don't care as much about their record this season. GPG

The Good: Usage of Aaron Jones (20 carries), Carrington Valentine, Karl Brooks, nice designed play (finally) for a TD to Musgrave

Bad: Fumbles, missed FG, Yosh getting injured and Rasheed Walker going back in (dammit). Another slow start on offense once again.

Ugly: EIGHT penalties, mental mistakes

Per NFL Research: "With his rush TD in the first half, Aaron Jones (63) passed Pro Football Hall of Famer Paul Hornung and Donald Driver for the seventh-most scrimmage TDs in franchise history. Jones trails only Hall of Famer Jim Taylor (91) and Ahman Green (68) for TDs among RBs in team history.

Good: a bad team dominated an even worse team without Stafford.

Bad: Fumbles and removing Sean Rhyan. He manhandled Aaron Donald on every play he was in there. Let’s see what he can do.

Ugly: NFL refs interpretation of offensive offsides on the tush push. NFL rules committee, just make the play (pushing the QB from behind across either the down marker or end zone) illegal. Bart Starr couldn’t get pushed from behind in the Ice Bowl because it was illegal back then. That’s why Chuck Mercein had his arms in the air as he jumped over Starr. He knew if he pushed Starr from behind the refs would throw a flag for interference. Same goes today for linemen pushing a RB forward after his forward momentum has been stopped. Disallow that.

Good: A WIN AT LAMBEAU!!! All the rookies who stepped up their game and contributed to the win.
BAD: Slow starts continue, for this offense. Penalties piling up. Injuries to Clark and Yosh.
Ugly: Officiating was horrible, once again. They have been calling Offsides and illegal man downfield penalties, on the Packers, all season long. I agree with Nagler that the NFL hates football. When we need it least, we can always count on a flag being thrown.
