Good - AJones, JLove, WR Room, Tucker Kraft

Bad - Defensive scheme/playcalling, referees.

Ugly - Joe Barry still has a job (Matt Lafleur hello!)

The other ugly is a poll I saw over at Acme that had 90% of Packer fans wanting the team to lose the last 3 games if it guarantees Joe Barry is fired. I know the front office should really ignore most fans suggestions and opinions, but at some point that poll tells you the depth of anger in the fan base for the current status quo.

Wake up Mark Murphy!

Add to The Good: Melton and Kraft. Next man up is not a problem for the Packers' pass catchers thanks to the staple of talent we have cultivated. Also Love; although he was off on a couple of shorter throws, he was efficient and didn't make any mistakes. A couple of the long passes he has made to Doubs this season have been dropped in there perfectly.

The Weird: Carlson has made all of his FG attempts within 40 yards, but has missed three XPs.

The Ugly: This game was closer than had to be. In addition to the defensive shortcomings, two three-and-outs in the fourth quarter did not help us put the game away when it maybe should have been.

that missed extra point is on the snapper (again!) and the holder couldn't get it right in time. #17 is doing better on the season than any of us expected, but ST is again simply bad.

The (really) good:

Jordan Love in his last 6 games, 13 TDs/1 INT. That's...dare I say it...Rodgers-esque ?

Also...really loving Tucker Kraft. Looks like the TE room might be a real strength moving forward.

Not good/not bad category: AJ Dillon. For a big guy, he gets taken down too quickly. Echelar , and Pacheco and Pollard aren't the size of Dillon but break more tackles. I keep expecting the defenders to bounce backward another 4 yards upon contact....but seems like too many 3 yard gains from scrimmage.

The bad/ugly:

In the past three games, Tommy DeVito, Baker Mayfield, and Young have completed 62 of 84 passes for 851 yards, seven touchdowns, and no interceptions, earning a 133.6 passer rating against Barry's defense.

Lafleur's response:

"That was definitely frustrating. But it wasn't just on the defense. Offensively, you've got to give them a breather, especially if we're bleeding a little bit defensively," said LaFleur. "We've got to find a way to put together a scoring drive. Find a way to get some first downs to allow those guys to recover."

"Bleeding a LITTLE BIT defensively"???? Giving up 30 points to the most inept offense in the league was apparently the offense's fault for not giving the defense a "breather" even though the offense put up 33 points.
His defense of Barry is bordering on insanity.

"Offensively, you've got to give them a breather, especially if we're bleeding a little bit defensively"

What's offensive in that statement is the strawman that somehow the going to a soft front, prevent coverage was needed because the players were tired. The decision was made by the DC who does this ALL the time, whether the defense is gassed or not. He started it in the first half when he had success with a blitzing, man coverage, he decided to go back to his security blanket of soft, soft and soft. I wonder how much time LaFleur takes to come up with these lame excuses for Joe Barry's incompetence. Maybe just put a suggestion box out for staffers to fill with excuses for JB and another for how the coaching staff keeps getting outcoached since MLF is dumbfounded on that one.

"BLEEDING A LITTELE BIT DEFENSIVELY"? This looked like a carotid artery severed! LaFleur might want to wipe the sh** out of his eyes and give Barry the hardest boot in the ass that is humanly possible! And btw, stop throwing your players under the bus every week to protect your buddy! What a pitiful lack of leadership!

Good:Kraft, 4Q Love

Bad: AJ Dillon’s .58 ypc OK the run blocking isn’t always there, but Jones had more than a hundred yards

Ugly: 23 crashing the coin toss and messing it up. Young wasn’t afraid to throw his way, and generally had success doing so. Justin Jefferson is licking his chops.

So, a couple of really good WR's (Reed, Watson) are not available, and Wicks is lost at halftime. Guess it's time for Bo Melton to enter the game and show what he can do. And Tucker Kraft continues to impress, especially his refusal to go down after first contact. Love doesn't worry about where you were drafted, or whether you're a rookie, or whether he has "chemistry" with you. He just throws catchable balls, and when it came time to put up or shut up when the Packers were in dire straits, he put it all on the line on that sideline throw to Doubs in double coverage. Also, when he threaded a needle between a couple of defenders on a pass to Kraft. I think, just maybe, the Packers may have shown they know what they're doing when it comes to developing QB's.

The Good: Aaron Jones and Tucker Kraft. We hit on two TEs in the draft. Musgrave and Kraft are going to be quite a duo.

The Bad: Special Teams continue to frustrate. Running into the kicker, missed extra point, returnable kick offs by design who knows?

The Ugly: Oh come on. It’s the Defense! Been a problem for years. Too many open receivers, easy runs, bad penalties, no turnovers, missed tackles on and on and on. Why? First round picks littering that side of the ball. How can we say that Barry has players in the right formations? What are we trying to achieve? It’s a mess and shouldn’t be? Something needs to change starting with Coaching. Other changes might be needed but start there. What are we waiting for? If this is a results business where are the RESULTS?

I pretty much agree with all the GBU assessments already listed above. I just have a few random thoughts to add.
-
I thought Tucker Kraft learned a week ago not to go nuts first yet at a defender but - there he goes again. He'll learn, he'll learn... It's been a while since it has been fun to watch a GB tight end. I said it before, he may have broken the 3rd round curse. That's awesome.
-
Anders Carlson. When your name is Anders Carlson and you get to play in the NFL, you will be a kicker with a name like Anders Carlson. It just has to be. I'm not going to bag on him like some folks already have been. He's actually been better than I expected him to be based on his camp performance. Let's face it, very very few kickers remain perfect for a whole season. Even the best vets in the league. Certainly Crosby had his moments of yips. What I do like about Carlson is that (so far) a miss does not define him. He gets back in there and makes up for it. I wonder a little about the kickoffs. Is he kicking it so it offers up a return by design? Because returns have such a high penalty percentage? Because Rich B has faith in the coverage unit keeping them short of the 25? Because many of us really would like to see the big leg we've heard about and see touchbacks.
-
If Minnesota plays like they did against Detroit today some almost unknown quarterback is going to have a very big day. Even if Jefferson has Alexander being worn on him like a jersey.

Joe Barry has no business coaching a defense at any level. The lack of a DT in the A-gap on 4th and 1 is just the latest example in a long list of gaffes, blown assignments, soft coverages, miscommunications, and overall lousy defense that this guy has been in charge of for the last three years. He has made three average to poor quarterbacks look like Tom Brady in the last three weeks. We were one second from losing this game. If LaFleur can’t figure this out, he needs to go too.

good: i guess we proved we are not the worst team in the league though we tried to win that dishonor with the D and with MLF's utterly defeatist playcalling in the fourth Q

the bad: as usual the defense making poor Bryce Young have one of the very few bright stops of his lamentable rookie season

the ugly: Joe Berry nearly bursting a heart valve with joy that we actually made a fourth and one stop

My beef is with the handful of Packers fans who still defend this defensieve scheme of Joe Barry. They are here as you will see. Who's the bigger fool, the coach that still employs him or the fans that support him? Tough call. LaFleur blames the offense? Are you kidding me?! Laughable. No one believes that, unless you are a JB supporter or a miss manager of people.

The Engineer and the Manager
A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost. He reduces height and spots a man down below. He lowers the balloon further and shouts: "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised my friend I would meet him half an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man below says: "Yes. You are in a hot air balloon, hovering approximately 30 feet above this field. You are between 40 and 42 degrees N. latitude, and between 58 and 60 degrees W. longitude."

"You must be an engineer," says the balloonist.

"I am," replies the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost.

"The man below says, "You must be a manager."

"I am," replies the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well," says the man, "you don't know where you are, or where you are going. You have made a promise which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is you are in the exact same position you were in before we met, but now it is somehow my fault."

Good - the clock ran out to save us
Bad - defense made another struggling QB look all pro again.
Ugly - Our wins. Nothing came easy. We battled the whole season to get to 7 wins. Blew no one out, and had to have a lot of luck a long the way. This is not a playoff team and may not be for a few years yet. Glory days are gone

The bad? I would add Alexander and Wyatt to the list. JA is proving to be an enormous mouth with a body attached to it. Wyatt has talent to burn but does not seem to be smart enough to use it.
Although I hate to say it, what really appears to be missing from the defense is Darnell Savage. The secondary played better with him on the field along with Valentine and Ballantine against better teams.
The good - Kraft (please stop trying to hurdle), Doubs and Melton, AJ and Preston Smith. Continued growth of JL.
Offseason wish list:
New DC
Trade JA on draft day - addition by subtraction
Trade or release David B
Re-sign Savage if cost effective.
Add Cooper Dejean and Tyler Nubin to the secondary via the draft.

At this point i would say if Berry is still the Dc for the final 2 games then Lafluer should be also let go. This is beyond incompetence and one could argue that lafluer is demonstrsting malpractice at this point.

As a person having to listen to his excuses week after week for over 2 years about the defense and how we as fans feel imagine how his players have tuned this msn out by now.

Any good things he has accomplishedbare gone and if he cant even replace a person he hired who never should have been hired how can he be trusted to lead going foward.

At this point, the responsibility for the atrocious performance of the defense falls squarely on the shoulders of Pepe' LeFleur. Joe Barry is who he has always been- a poor Defensive Coordinator.

This is blindingly obvious to everyone but Pepe'. It is Lafleur's job to correct errors and replace poor performers.

In the case of the defense, Pepe does neither. In fact, he makes excuses to explain away defensive failures, and even blames other areas of the team who have nothing to do with the defense.

My hope is that Murphy and Gute get rid of both of them.

I'll give Barry this much, he doesnt have much to work with but that doesnt also mean if he had talent he would know what to do with it.
1. Alexander is a big mouth who is out jiving but not tackling, breaking up plays and getting interceptions.
2. Stokes is just to dam dumb to play NFL football. He hasnt a clue.
3. Rudy Ford? Who the hell is Rudy Ford.
4. Savage gets out of place often and gets beat bad making bad decisions.
5. Gary takes plays off and only gets sacks when he can get around or in between a lineman that our real pass rushers have opened up. Plus he looks 25 pounds heavier this year after his big contract.
6. Wyatt is in and out of the line up as in he doesnt know what to do or cant go it. Does anyone know what his job is and what is he suppose to do?
7. Campbell is a malcontent now and only wants to pass rush or stop the run, he doesnt want to drop back in coverage and get beat all day. He is too slow for that.
7. When a Ballentine and Valentine all of a sudden are on your team and they may be a bright spot, that in itself is scary.
These guys couldn't tackle and old lady in the cross walk.
