The Good: Jordan Love, Aaron Jones, Tucker Kraft, WRs, OL, Pass rush (5 sacks) and run defense.

The Bad: Carlson, missed FG and short kickoffs.

The Ugly: Time management at the end of the first and Jordan Love's fumble.

Overall a great team effort by the Packers. They won the LOS on both sides of the ball and executed very well for the entire game.

On to the playoffs! Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

The good? Love, Jones, the stable of receivers and the defense how aggressive they played
The Bad: Carlson he is not the guy deer in the headlights look, Joe Barry
Ugly: Last couple of games on defense may have saved Barry's job. That is ugly

Bisaccia pushed hard for drafting Carlson. I think we could have done better.

Carlson first year: 27 of 33. 81.8%

That’s a tad better than Crosby’s career 81.3%

It’s true that percentages have risen over Crosby’s career. 80% used to be great, now 80% is thought of as a threshold.

I accept that ignored the rather odd extra point hiccups, but statistically Carlson was mid league in percentage among those who attempted a field goal this year, as a rookie.

Can't ignore the missed PATs.
5 in a season- pure misses, not blocks- completely unacceptable.

There must be a true, open competition @ kicker this next season. The kicker who performs best during OTAs, camp, and preseason should get the job.

I could understand patience if there was something that jumped out about Carlson that was a rare trait that would support being patient, and granted I'm not qualified to assess kicking talent.. but I don't see anything special that's obvious for a dolt like myself. I can't justify keeping him around just because he was middle of the road FG % when he's just Whooopsie! -ing extra points like that.

Overall a good post but I gotta give you a thumbs down for inconsistency. How can you give Kraft a "Good" and then give a "Bad" for time management? I know he a great game but not going out of bounds before the half was a really bad mistake. That could have cost a win. He has to be smarter than that.

I recall the rationale for letting Crosby go was that he wasn't reaching the end zone on kickoffs. Carlson isn't doing it either, and the Bears started at their 30 or better multiple times. I'm not sure that's just rookie issue.

That's not due to ability, that's because his mechanics were deliberately tampered with. They slowed his kicking motion down, deliberately trading power for increased accuracy.

It WORKED! His % is better than Crosby's were until he reached year 5 of his career or something like that. Hopefully this off-season he can recover his natural power without hurting his accuracy.

he really does look like he is thinking while he's kicking. he has to trust the technique and let it go.

I still wonder if it’s not deliberate. Bissacia wanting the chance to “win” the return and steal field position just as he does having Nixon bring it out so often. It’s not like we haven’t seen Carlson kick it out of the back at times.

Crosby is also almost 50 years old, and he was expensive and untrustworthy. Younger, faster, cheaper.

Mason Crosby is 39 years old. 50 is still a good way off for him. Thanks, Since '61

The Good: I agree. Gotta be AJ. He's the MAN. Gotta TRY to find a way to keep him a Packer next year. Silver medal to Offensive Line. Without them AJ doesn't run for 100+ and JL doesn't go 27-32 for 300+ yards.
The Bad: da Bears. 10 Ls in a row..... and counting!
The Ugly: Note to Tucker Kraft: I love you, Dude, but RUN OUT OF BOUNDS NEXT TIME!

Several plays this season like that, needed to get out of bounds to stop the clock but didn't. Situational football, football IQ. ..

Is it BAD or is it UGLY that Joe Berry will probably NOT be fired now?
Arthur Smith and Ryan Nielsen are available now.
Which one would your hire?

Everything is good about beating the Bears. There is no bad in being the youngest team to ever make the playoffs. The Ugly is the purported Packer fans who spent the last year whining about the front office, the coaches, the players, etc.

LH—not mentioned here, but one thing you have addressed many times is the continuous grousing about the our defense, when they seldom give up many points.
I have to agree with you on that point.
That said, there is no way I keep Barry if I’m running the show.

Good: showing Justin Fields there is more to do in Green Bay, like kicking his sorry QB ass.
Bad: Brisker knocking the Packers receivers when their "vaunted" secondary was unable to contain them. WTF?
Ugly: agree with Aaron N, refs must have done an internship under Brad Allen- awful. Bears 1st down reception obviously wasn't, their 4th down attempt was short of the sticks (would have like more TV coverage of that malfeasance), and by rule Melton should have had TD. I did appreciate though that they kept flags in their pants for most of the game; makes for a much smoother experience.

"Bad: Brisker knocking the Packers receivers when their "vaunted" secondary was unable to contain them. WTF?"

The Packers offense marched up and down the field last night with almost no resistance and only self-inflicted wounds. A hot-air-bag DB who was part of the Bears defensive clown show was throwing insults after the game.

Gotta love the Bears player IQs to go with their talent. Low and lower.

He should perhaps worry more out out being single-handedly overpowered by Wicks for a TD now we know Wicks is so soft.

Great W. The first half failure to get points was very frustrating but all in all a dominant win against a Bears team that was playing some really good football…house money now and let’s give the Cowboys problems!

I guess you’re right Fields, there’s not much to do in Green Bay except watch football—sure enjoyed watching yesterday.

More importantly, it's a good thing there's things to do in Chicago besides just watching football- because Bears fans won't have any football to watch until next season.

I agreed with the Melton catch ruling, but the Moore “catch” was unbelievable. What are reviews for if that was a catch

I think that ball bounced off his face mask and never hit the ground. It was an optical illusion that made it appear to hit the ground.
