Santa Claus Is A Nazi

Or he may as well be.

I just watched Brett Favre taking snaps with a Minnesota Viking helmet on and I definitely threw up in my mouth a little bit.

A lot of you have commented, emailed or Twittered that you are waiting on my 'Brett Favre Is Officially A Viking' post - all I can say is, it's coming. I'm waiting to see what Brent has to say at his 6pm edt/5pm cst press conference before adapting what I wrote earlier this summer. Once he and Childress have had their say, I promise it will be up sometime before our broadcast tomorrow night.

In the meantime, F*ck Favre.

Amen brother. I hope we bury that a**hole so deep in the ground that he has to eat liquid hot magma in order to survive.
My only glimmer of hope is that he crashes and burns so bad that he has to leave the field in shame and he drags Childress with him.
Here's to the complete and utter destruction of the Minnesota Vikings (or should I just start calling them the LA Vikings :) )

Why is everyone so upset about this. I think this makes the season much more interesting. Am I the only one even a tiny bit excited?

In contrast to last year, when he spent precious time set aside to study the Patriots playbook to call the Lions coaches, he won't have any inside information about the Packers defense. However, he will continue to play a familiar offense for which our defense can prepare. He can't be complacent about that reality.

Nothing will give me more pleasure then watching the old man throw picks and cause the Viking locker room to split.

PackerHQ - #4 will be retired. He will be placed in the ring of honor. He may have something (other than a crappy little street) named after him. The same thing happened with Curly Lambeau. Lambeau hated the Packers in the end, even refusing the to allow the team to name New City Stadium after him. Of course, once he passed, the stadium was renamed to Lambeau Field and most people never even knew there was acrimony between them.

I understand the people who feel for him. However, this is a franchise built on guts, honor, integrity and respect, perhaps not for the opponent but for the hand that feeds. Crying, bitching, immaturity and lying are not what make a Green Bay Packer, ask Walker and McKenzie as of late. Good riddance and i hope you bring it in the games you face the Packers, because youll need a miracle to be respected around Green Bay again.

Didn't Brett Favre mention in his press conference- the one a few weeks ago when he told the world he WASN'T coming out of retirement- that a part of that decision was the realization that it takes a FULL OFFSEASON to condition and prepare for the grind of a 17-week long NFL season?
Did he not say that he thinks that was a part of his body wearing out on him and a contributing factor in his shoulder injury last season with the Jets? That he didn't feel his shoulder was healthy enough to facilitate that training to enable him to handle that grind?
So, he decided that skipping the first three weeks of the preseason is a good idea?
_________
my prediction: Favre struggles with his timing with the WR's and yes, even with some of the playbook, the first 4 games of the season. Doesn't really matter, because Childress will have been looking at Jets' footage and come to the realization that Favre was at his best last season when the gameplan was geared towards Favre handing the ball off.
By about week 7 or 8, Favre is clicking with the offense. The problem is, he's 900 years old, coming off a shoulder surgery, and spent his off-season avoiding OTAs/mini camp and as much of training camp as possible.. and his body is going to start breaking down. His shoulder will be giving him problems, his legs may be shot. We all know Favre's production has trailed off the last quarter of the season for the last many years, and this year it WILL be different. It will begin much earlier and it will be a much more profound backslide. He may even miss a game- or many- this season.
______
BTW, I'm personally looking forward to Favre trying to put the entire game on his shoulders when he plays the Packers, trying to be the hero and win the game himself... Just like he he did in '07 vs. the Cowboys. I guarantee Favre has never even considered the fact he may lose to the Packers. I sincerely hope we not only beat the Vikings @ Lambeau, but that we absolutely decimate Favre. Multiple picks, sacks, and forced fumbles. Favre looking like a deer in the headlight. And the best part?

"I guarantee Favre has never even considered the fact he may lose to the Packers."

The only problem with this statement is that most Packers fans have never even considered the fact that he may beat the Packers.

This is the purest form of vindication. The arguments are now officially over & BF has exposed himself for the 'c l o w n' he has always been. .... The 'Apologists' have been muffled... The obvious to most is now the obvious to all.

Most of the regulars (particularly Keith) know I have kept my mouth shut on this issue for quite some time. I was waiting until #4 was officially a Viking. I wrote my thoughts on that prospect over a month ago and prayed I would not have to hit the "submit" button. Well, I guess the time has finally come. I will wait until Aaron posts and respond to his thoughts...

Long live the PACKERS! They were here long before Judas Favre (or as he will now be referred to in our household "He who shall not be named) The Packers will be here long after he goes, which I hope is soon, with a broken leg. I'm not angry or anything though!

What I love about the move is that it completes the map for what is perhaps, at least in my 40 years of fanship, the most promising and exciting season ever.....and the pressure the team goes thru will only serve them well as they move to the playoffs. Cutler & Favre, and the Cowboys and the Ravens...Wow

Cannot wait. Go Pack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, Aaron, Santa isn't a Nazi. He wears a red suit and gives presents to everyone. He's a communist and you know it. WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!
***
Back to the topic. F*ck Brent. He just made our season that much more interesting. And Jayme, I have thought about what it would be like if Brent kicks our asses. It would suck green donkey dicks. It would be the worst thing that ever happened in the history of the team. But don't you see that risk is necessary if we're to taste glory? Think about the tension on October 5 and November 1. Think of all that suppressed anxiety mounting between now and then. If Capers' new defense pounds the SOB into a greasy purple spot on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field, it will break into pure euphoria. We'll have purged him from our souls. We can drape his retired jersey over his tombstone. He will have died for the good of the nation. What more could we ask of him?
***
I could actually forgive him after that. That's worth risking the worst day in the history of Packers football.
