POLL: Your Expectations for the 2020 Green Bay Packers
The time has come once again to submit your expectations for the Packers in 2020!
By TimBackes
Hello everyone, it's once again time for my annual survey of CHTV and Twitter Packers fans about their expectations for the team heading into the season!*
(*Assuming we actually get a season this year)
Last year, the Packers exceeded the expectations of CHTV readers, who generally assumed the Packers would fall around 10-6 and have a very short-lived playoff appearance. This year, the Packers are coming in off a 13-3 season in which many considered them overachievers. Will the Packers be able to match their accomplishments of a year ago?
Of course, COVID-19 is a factor that will add a lot of uncertainty into this season. In submitting your answers, assume that the season will happen in its entirety, however unlikely you may believe that to be at the moment.
Results from the poll will be shared right here on CHTV in a couple weeks. It's always interesting to see how fans are feeling about the team heading into the season!
Cheers everyone.

IF we get through the season:
The abnormal/shortened offseason REALLY hurts the Bears (QB) and Vikings (entire defense) breaking in new people. The continuity helps GB, relatively speaking.
I expect GB to win the division with somewhere around a 10-6 record. But I expect them to bow out of the playoffs in the divisional round or wild card round. The offense is has questionable depth at WR, and questionable starters and depth at RG, RT, TE. The defense has KC and no one else at DT, and non-existent depth at WILB. CB might be a sneaky need too.
Barring everything going right with youth stepping up, injuries and vets hanging on, this is not a super bowl team.
I expect ARod to be traded in the offseason too. :(

Yes Bearmeat, this is a fair prediction.....I do feel the likelihood Rodgers is traded after the season is higher than some believe....one positive of having Rodgers under contract for 4 more years (3 after this year) is teams that want him will have to give up alot to get him.....this is not a player in the final year of a deal headed to FA. If Jamal Adams is truly worth 2 1sts.......(he is not imo) then we should be able to get significant draft capital for Rodgers. Jordan Love absolutely without a doubt will be the starter at some point, he is the guy. The only question is when......my bet is sooner than later....

The difference is that Adams will be playing for 10 years - ostensibly at a probowl level. Rodgers has mayyybe 5 years left. And I doubt more than 2 of them at a probowl level. Brady and Brees were really not great last year. Big Ben was hurt and Rivers was terrible.
The QB changing of the guard has occurred.

Brees was statistically good in the games he played...very efficient. The Saints have given him two outstanding catch-and-run players (Kamara and Thomas) to unload to...otherwise he's a noodle-armed game manager.

Brees is a game manager now......Teddy Gloves came in and won most of their games as a game manager also.....they really rely on YAC too...

The Jets got an almost Kahlil Mack type haul on Jamal Adams. I can't believe what the Seahawks gave for him. No S is worth that much.

Low # ones or high # twos given up....with Seattle having zero chance of picking in the top ten over the next two-three years. He is an All Pro and plugs the big void in their middle. Something the Pack still has not solved with their ILBs. There will be no film to study of College safety for the 2021 draft; Schneider read the stars and again maneuvered like the anti Ted.

I'm just hoping they can safely play the season at this point. The struggles of MLB 2 weeks in are not encouraging. The NFL has even larger rosters and 100X the physical contact of Baseball. I hope it works out.

Players need to stay away from bars and casinos which some of the baseball players did not putting the whole season in jeopardy.
