I am not so worried that we have an immediate replacement for Lazard but rather the stress on our depth. Davante has a history now of getting banged up and missing games. If Davante is good we will be ok. However, if Davante can’t go I am not confident that Scantling can step into WR1 Role. Lazard was becoming a very reliable player on the field. He proved last year that he can adequately make plays in the absence of Davante. No doubt the Lazard loss hurts and I think people are concerned, rightfully so, because of the respect Lazard earned on the field.

They won four games in a row last season without Davante and without huge contributions from Lazard outside of the Lions game. They have plenty of avenues to explore when it comes to eligible receivers. They'll still move the ball and score plenty of points.

Fair enough. I believe they will still score plenty as well. It is true that this team has many weapons. Maybe I pay too much attention to the WR position and am not factoring in TEs, RBs and multi purpose weapons like Ervin. All can catch passes.
