They're bringing in Sammy Watkins. This guy is left handed. So was Adams. Smart move for the Left side!

Trade Love foe a #2, then get Mayfield for a 6th, and let Cleveland pick up most of his salary.

I would now expect an OL and an Edge in round 1, and maybe 2 WR in round 2

They won't get a WR in rd 2. They will get STRAIGHT LINE SPEED.

I agree although they may consider a S/ Db over the OL and wait to draft Lucas from W.ST. It has been an M.O. of Gutey to sign off on stop gap FAs to wait til later rounds at those positions . Thus Reed ( the veteran reliever at this point ) and Watkins ( the burner ) allow them to not over draft either dl or wr. I imagine they will possibly take Pickens and Pierce in round 2 and a TE in 3 or later or possibly late or maybe V. Jones in 3 or 4. I think they will take an edge and S in the 1st round. They will also add by the end of the draft 2 Ol , 1 Edge , 1 DL 2WR, 1 TE, 1 ILB, 2 S/DB and 1 RB . Of course they may want to trade down and add a couple picks for next season or this and only choose 9 or 10 this year. The Packers always choose with an eye towards the future meaning cap issues next year and the need for an infusion of talent every year . 11 picks this year is probably too many and I think 5 or 6 next year is too few . I am reassured that Rodgers has done very well when he has had to work without Adam's in the past. I also think that Rodgers at this point obviously prefers more veteran recievers making me imagine we may still look at another cheap WR free agent or even trade for one during or post draft. It amuses me how people look at the draft and imagine that their fantasy draft will yield 11 perfect players . A quite good draft means 4 plus starters and 3 or 4 STs and and development projects. This includes at least 1 or 2 NDFAs. We always lose a few to injuries and the rest to lack of ability . The NFL is a tough league to enter into!

I think that Mafe is Gute's target this year, and Gute will move wherever he needs to move to get him.
This move smells a lot like Rashan Gary 2.0

Watkins still has some wheels, can stretch the field a bit. Veteran prescence for relatively cheap. Not bad.
