If the Packers and Jets had the framework of a deal in place prior to the Jets flying out to California, as has been reported, Brian Gutekunst should feel pretty good about wanting to stick to what was agreed to.

Won't it be deeply weird for Jordan Love to arrive 17/04 in Green Bay for OTAs without a Rodgers deal? If I were him or his agents, I would stand down until the deal is actually done. Who do The Pack actually want as QB #1?

You can only hope that, that will happen. Jordan Love is nice person and I do not see why he would turn to drama Queen as his predcestor!

I agree...HOLD FAST! This is nonsense....The jets reneged on this deal....isnt it possible that the packers could trade rodgers to the niners for a first and second and Pay a portion of Rodgers salary. And tell me if this is true. If the Packers trade rodgers to anyone and rodgers decides to retire. Would the packers still have to pay him? I know they would be on the hook under the cap but wouldn't it mean the packers wouldn't have to pay?

Gute should hold out and he should not give Rodgers away like they did Favre, different situation. With the Russell Wilson and Matt Stafford trades setting the bar, I don't see how they could take much less and not get laughed out of the building. I say the 13th pick in the first round and a conditional 2nd rounder next year if Aaron continues to play, anything less then that and they might as well take the 3- 3rd rounders & a 1st in 2024 from the 49er's if that story was true.

Get your popcorn ready folks, this is going to be entertaining. Gute will play tough guy until the Jets come to their senses and decide it’s dumb to pay $60 million for the 18th ranked QB and go get number 20 or21 for $30 million. Rodgers will then show up to training camp in full sulk mode and do his best to blow everything up. “The Real Quarterbacks of Green Bay” will dominate the ratings! Fannnnn-tastic!

AR is STILL a top 5 QB. We had no #1 or even# 2 WR last season. He also did not come in after an enormous contract and get going with his receivers early to get ready for a questionable WR unit. The OL was coming back from injury and RT was let go. If AR has weapons, he will do well as long as his new OL is good.
