Packers Postseason Superlatives
From a statistical standpoint, the Packers have had a very impressive run through the NFL playoffs.
For your reading pleasure, some of the superlatives the Packers have racked up this postseason...
- After beating the Falcons, the Packers now own the NFL's best postseason winning percentage (.628, 27-16), one tenth of a percentage point better than the Pittsburgh Steelers (.627, 32-19).
- After scoring 48 points against the Falcons, the Packers became the first team in NFL postseason history to score 45 or more points in back-to-back postseasons.
- Cornerback Tramon Williams' three playoff interceptions are tops in the NFL.
- Williams' combined nine interceptions between the regular season and the postseason is no. 1 in the NFL as well.
- With three touchdowns against Atlanta, quarterback Aaron Rodgers' 10 career postseason touchdown passes are the most of any player in NFL history in their first three postseason starts.
- Rodgers became the first quarterback in NFL history to post a passer rating of 120.0 or above in each of his first three postseason starts.
- Rodgers' 129.4 passer rating is the best in NFL postseason history (minimum 50 attempts).
- Rodgers' completion percentage of 73.3% (77-of-105) is no. 1 in NFL playoff history.
- Rodgers also became the first quarterback in NFL postseason history to throw for 350 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions while also rushing for a touchdown in the same game.
- The wide receiver quartet of Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, James Jones and Jordy Nelson became the first foursome in NFL postseason history to all get 75 or more yards receiving in the same game against Atlanta.
- Running back James Starks lead the NFL with 189 rushing yards this postseason.

Agreed. I only care about the numbers if they win, then it's nice to look at how dominating they have been. But as they say, past performance is no guarantee of future performance, but that's all you can go by.

I don't think this Packers team cares about anything, numbers, accolades, trash talking, even the rivalry, besides playing strong for 60 minutes, winning the conference, then preparing hard, playing strong for 60 minutes, and winning the Super Bowl.
A far cry from the team who were unprepared against TB a year ago, huh?
Actually, putting together the playoffs last year, and in 07, I think MM becomes a much better coach in the playoffs. He's quickly able to recognize what's working and what's not, sticking to it, he's imaginative, he exploits mismatches to the maximum, and he keeps his players focused throughout.

Aside from the numbers, I actually started to have confidence in the offense being able to move the ball consistently.
Defense I always had confidence in. ST, still not so much.

Anyone hear #12's interview in the Jungle this morning? It was epic. EPIC FAIL! Dude called in 3 times and his I-phone kept going out. Really sucked, it was in hour #3 and I waited around to hear it (at least I was getting paid to do so, lol)... never happened. Rome still gave him the charma though, so we're good there.

It's might be worse, because you're actually incorrect. He wrote that it was a tenth of a winning percentage point better....... .628 is not written as a percent, it's written as a decimal, and it is equal to 62.8%........ and it's a tenth of a percentage point better than 62.7%
