Packers Podcast: Relying on Rookies at Outside Linebacker

With Clay Matthews, Nick Perry and Mike Neal all dealing with injuries, the Packers will have a pair of rookies playing big roles against the Browns on Sunday.

On Friday morning I joined Bart Winkler on K107 in Fond du Lac to preview Sunday's Packers game against the Browns. We take a moment to discuss the team's injuries, which are ample, but then turn to how the Packers will get by without their injured players. Particularly concerning the outside linebacker position, where Clay Matthews, Nick Perry and Mike Neal are either out or questionable for Sunday's game. Without their services, the Packers will be relying on a pair of rookies, Andy Mulumba and Nate Palmer, a risky proposition.

Starting two rookies may not be that harrowing but considering that one is a 6th round draft pick & the other is an undrafted free-agent--- that's the problem.

There are reasons players are drafted in the 6th round or go completely undrafted. Here's betting TT's office door is closed all day today.
