Packers place Lane Taylor on injured reserve
The former undrafted free agent is set to be a free agent next March.
By PackerAaron
The Packers announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have placed guard Lane Taylor on injured reserve and released linebacker Greg Roberts from the practice squad.
The 30 year old Taylor, who is set to be a free agent in March after reworking his deal this past offseason and taking a paycut. injured his right knee in Week 1's game in Minnesota.
Taylor played in two games last season before a biceps injury ended his year.
The former undrafted free agent has made a career out of beating the odds. Here's hoping he's back at it either in Green Bay or in another NFL city next season.

Actually, if he comes back from the knee surgery, he could be effective for 3-4 more years. He's 30, tough call.

I think this allows them to move John Lovett up to the regular roster from the practice squad.
