Davante Adams first two years: 88 receptions, less than 1000 yards, 4 TDs. He actually appeared to regress a little his second season...a "sophomore slump."
Jayden Reed first two years: 119 receptions , over 1600 yards, 14TDs. He actually appeared to regress a little his second season.
Adams exploded his third season with almost 1000 yards and 12 TDs in 2016.
The opportunity for him to claim the #1WR role is right here, and that will line him up for a big payday. If he has another 60 catches for 800 yards, that would be a good start. Reducing his drops would be great. Getting a few more targets would help.

I remember Adams' sophomore year, Leatherhead.
Hell, it seemed like he couldn't catch a cold!

Reed was drafted based on his one good year at MSU and it wasnt his last year. His problem has always been size and hands. Running fast and dropping the ball doesnt get you anywhere and he goes missing in games and parts of seasons too. Thus, we've seen un realiability from his play. Why would anyone expect more?
I don't buy into the mentality that after three or four years they get it. No the best players pretty much have it coming into the door they just need a copy of the playbook. There's a lot of "draft and didnt develop" not being talked about.

Reed is a good slot guy but I wouldn't expect him to become a star.
