We are in a small group that are excited about the Skyy Moore signing Aaron. Yes he can for sure help us get some better field position on kicks and punts, but I am hoping the success that Moore achieved returning kicks in SF can kickstart his WR career as well. I was also a Skyy Moore fan in his draft. Unlike Dontavion Wicks who had some of the worst hands in the 2022 draft, Moore actually was probably close to having the best hands in that draft. Only 7 drops in college, Wicks had 2 game sets that he dropped that many. Maybe we jumpstart his career in 2026 and we both benefit.

Excellent points GP61 I too was excited to see Skyy as both a WR and a kick returner. It is almost insulting to imply that he can not walk and chew gum at the same time. He is a professional WR by trade who also just happens to be a great kick returner. I see the positions complimenting themselves rather than a distraction.
This opens up the possibility to trade Wicks for a draft pick. Aaron feels strong about his position and I really hate to disagree with him but he was not persuasive this time. I agree with Aaron that he should be viewed primarily as a returner.... at first. I also am confident that management knows what they are doing in player development. Time will tell. It is a good problem to have.

Moore didn't just forget how he became a Top 10 WR. In an interview last year he said he lost some of his confidence/mojo in KC after some drops. And after he missed the whole 2024 season injured, KC gave up on him. Drops were something he didn't worry about in college with only 7 drops in 3 years. The guy has decent size @ 5'10, and isn't skinny @ almost 200 lbs. And he is blessed with high 4.3 speed, I can see some simple slants or stop & go patterns that produce big gains in GB. He is a true wildcard this year that I am hoping we can unlock.
As far as Wicks goes, he is a #5/6 WR and thus expendable. If we can get a 5th round pick or make a player for player trade that fills a real need, then I am all for it. Practice squad WR Will Shepard is waiting in the wings too. He was rated higher than Wicks, is bigger & faster, and unlike Wicks he has great hands. I would trade Wicks because we have Moore, Shepard and our 3rd pick Williams all ready to take snaps.
