I also remember Wickes dropping alot of passes in 2024, Reed too. You always have to listen to what the offer is, and if it's not worth it, you hang up. Reed is better and more consistent than Wickes. Wickes is a 3rd string WR at best, why wouldn't we listen to an offer.

A Packer fan on Acme Packers suggested a trade of Reed or Wickes, Arizona's preference, for Josh Sweat and a 3rd day pick. Sweat wants to leave Arizona because they fired Gannon, so maybe he wants to come to Green Bay. I am 50/50 on this because on 1 hand I would like to see what we have in the guys we have now, and on the other hand knowing Parsons will miss games to start the year and we just lost Gary & Enagbare. Maybe we should spend # 84 on an Edge Rusher instead. Gabe Jacas, Dani Dennis-Sutton, Derrick Moore, & LT Overton could be available there.

What do you think Aaron or whoever.

Nails it,
Wicks has dropped a lot of passes his whole career beginning in college. A trade for Sweat sounds to good to be true but certainly worth trying. It is true that we just lost two edge rushers in Gary and Enagbare, Moreover we will likely not have Parsons to start the season.
Besides we also have welcomed a new WR/KR in Skyys not to mention Bo Melton for depth.

Skyy Moore is a premier KR now but he was a Top 10 WR in the 2022 draft. He had some of the best hands in the draft that year but had some drop issues in KC both receiving and on returns. The Chiefs lost faith in him and gave up by trading him. In an interview he said he had lost some confidence in his ability to catch the ball but had regained some mojo with the 49ers even though they didn't throw to him much.

If GB can unlock his WR ability again, we could have a real sleeper on our hands, after all his senior season stats were 94 catches for 1250 yrds & 10 TDS. He only had 7 total drops in college, so his hands are actually very good. We'll see how it goes, if nothing else we fixed a part of special teams.

As far as Edge rusher goes, I would be more in favor of trying to sign A J Epenesa for &4-5 million annually. He is a solid younger vet and an upgrade over Enagbare. An Intriguing trade move might be to try to trade for Kaivon Thibodaux-Edge-Giants. The Giants are loaded at Edge and Thibodaux is odd man out. We could offer Wickes in a straight man for man trade. Thibodaux's trade value is said to be a late round pick .

You listen - you always listen - there might be a really dumb or impatient GM out there who will give up a first or second rounder or somebody that might really help elsewhere. But remember Adams who had reports on his early career often describe a high, problematic drop rate, particularly on downfield passes, during his first two seasons (2014–2015).

Wicks can not even be mentioned in the same breath as Adams.
