Packers Calendar: Last Day of Senior Bowl Practice

The Green Bay Packers will wrap up a week of scouting on Thursday as they take in the last day of on-field practices at the site of the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

After Thursday, NFL team personnel typically leave town, choosing not to stay for the game. If they want, they can get film of the game and watch it on their own time.

So today is usually their final opportunity to watch the players take part in drills, scrimmage and talk to them in person.

The NFL Network will televise practice from the Senior Bowl from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. CT, although it is not live.

Meanwhile out in Hawaii, the first day of Pro Bowl practice will take place at Earhart Field from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. local time, which is open to military personnel, according to

Packers rookie running back Eddie Lacy will be getting used to his new teammates as part of the Pro Bowl's new format, being part of "Team Sanders," headed by former NFL player Deion Sanders.

I wish they made the Senior Bowl a 2 week event. Have 2 weeks worth of practices.

Its been a lot of fun watching the practices on NFL Network this week. They have done a great job with the coverage.

Any sweet safeties, linebackers, or tight ends showing up?

Most of the Safety's at the Senior Bowl will be 2nd-3rd round at the highest. The top ones are Deone Bucannon, Kenny Ladler. I have been hearing a lot of Jimmie Ward. He is a guy to keep an eye on. Another guy I like is Terrence Brooks. He is fast, but smaller. He is 5'11 so he isn't to small. I like his coverage ability though.

There are some good ILB prospects. Chris Borland, Jordan Zumwalt, Christian Jones all have had good practices. A guy to keep an eye on is Christian Kirksey. I heard he has been a little under the radar this week.
OLB, Kyle Van Noy has really made some noise as has Dee Ford. Another guy to keep an eye on is Jeremiah Attaochu. Michael Sam is a guy who measurements wise looks to be a good fit at 3-4 OLB, but I heard he doesn't look like he can play OLB and will be 4-3 DE only.

TE the top 2 guys are C.J. Fiedorowicz and Arthur Lynch. Both are more of your traditional TE who can block and catch. I would keep an eye on both players.
