Packers Calendar: Eddie Lacy's Turn in Pro Bowl Draft
Coverage of the Pro Bowl Draft will take place on the NFL Network starting at 7:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday evening.
The Pro Bowl draft got underway on Tuesday evening in Day 1 of a two-day event, but it's the skill position players that get selected on Wednesday evening.
That means Green Bay Packers rookie Eddie Lacy will be selected to play on one of the two squads led by general managers Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders, both former NFL players. For the first time this season, Pro Bowl teams are no longer broken up into AFC and NFC squads.
Rice and Sanders take turns picking players from each position, and eventually Lacy's name will be called when it's time to divvy up the running backs. Lacy is the only Packers player named to the Pro Bowl this season.
The NFL Network will have coverage of the Pro Bowl Draft for three hours from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. CT.
Earlier in the day, the NFL Network will have footage of practice from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., where Packers general manager Thompson and his team of scouts and personnel are in attendance checking out prospects for the NFL draft.
Tape-delayed coverage of the North team practice will air from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. CT and then analyst Mike Mayock and the rest of the crew go live from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. CT while the South team practices.
It's a good opportunity for fans to see what the Packers' talent evaluators are seeing with more than 100 players participating this week.
