Nice to see both Neal and Perry getting to the QB, although I'm not sure why Perry has to be on the left side.

Quarless needs to show he can get deep. Took a good step forward today. If he can do that consistently, I will be satisfied.

I don't know why this team needs to spot its opponents 2 TDs before it shows up all the time. They're great at overcoming adversity, but for some reason they always have to HAVE adversity.

Frustrating to watch.

Add that screen attempt the play before the Lacy end of the half run into the WTH? category. That run will probably be the last time I wish Kuhn had the ball.

Really scratching my head on the last play before the half. Then when I saw Lacy come up limping I was ready to throw something. At least it doesn't look to be that bad. Another week of playing for this year rather than getting ready for next.

"Running Lacy w/0:04 left in the 1st half"

I really, really wish someone was in control of the Big Picture during games. McCarthy's play calling isn't so great that someone else can't do it. Head coach or Offensive Coordinator, pick one.

My definition of Multitasking: "Fucking everything up all at once."

Most have nothing to bitch about. If it wasn't for cheap ass Ted T, many and I mean many of these guys would not be playing football period. I mean guys in the 5,6,7 round and undrafteds are there for a reason. 32 teams with GM, football anylyst, stat guys, the whole nine yards evaluate every freeekin player. the ones we get are the ones no one else wanted but they came cheap.

What round was Richard Sherman drafted in? 5th round.... I bet Seattle was happy no one else wanted him, including them since they passed on him in 4 other rounds.

So since you say the Packers are comprised of nothing but UDFA's and 5th-7th round picks, how many are on the team currently? And how many of those players are on the team due to injury to other players?
In your opinion what % of the team should be made up of 5th-UDFA's?

Oh yeah, and considering Thompson's way of doing business is such a failure, what is his winning % since coming to Green Bay as the General Manager?

No one else in football had him even going in the draft....there would be no reason for forums or comments sections if all everybody did was toe the company line....rah rah rah, sis boom bah, nice play calling Mike, especially at the end of the half...woops, sorry about the sarcasm, please forgive me....hahahaha...

Whenever the ball was kicked to him in GB he fumbled it, now he runs it back for touchdowns. Probably saw handwriting on wall, hey if you just want to use me to return kicks and not play dback, screw everybody I'll take my talent elsewhere.
Anyways the play calling again was conservative in, I'm not sure if you can pass so lets just run run run.

- A great win. Showed grit. Given the weather, Matt Flynn could have been in the "good" category. Despite his two turnovers.

- Running Lacy on a give away play is just beyond stupid. I dare someone to defend that one. MM - what in the hell are you thinking? Why risk injury to such an important piece to our team on a give away play? Stupid.

- Nice to see Quarless show up. He played great.

- Jordy Nelson is a great WR no matter who is at QB.

- When healthy, Nick Perry can be a factor in the pass rushing department.

- It kills my soul to watch Morgan Burnett. Overpaid. Huge bust. He is amazing in that when he commits he doesn't do it fully to be a factor on the play. And when he doesn't (a la TD to Gonzalez) he does so in a way where he still gets himself out of position. The worst of both worlds. The opposite of what great safeties do.

- It would kill my soul further to watch MD Jennings, but the guy is so unbelievably absent from every play, I am barely sure if he is ever on the field. Luckily, his snaps were greatly reduced today. Nice to see Richardson out there.

- BJ Raji is worth 8 million a year? Once again, fat, soft and blubbery got pushed around to the point of invisible. Is home boy mailing it in?

- Only our defense could make Stephen Jackson look like the 2006 version of himself. Guy has been non-existent.....until he plays GB. Naturally.

- A win is a win and if we get into the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers can beat anyone at anytime in any place.

Dawg it figures you would be obsessed with a bone. Get it?? Dog? Bone?

No intelligent 'objective' (big word for you) Packer fan ignores what's missing on this team (lack of offensive line depth, weak safeties and middle linebackers), but we also have a perspective that puts shortcomings into context: injuries, salary cap ramifications, low draft positioning based on WINNING A LOT,the statistically normal human shortcomings of our GM, and shit luck (good or bad).

You trolls however, are like the damn "Doomsday Preppers". YOU WILL NEVER BE SATISFIED BECAUSE YOUR LIFE SUCKS.

Can you please just go be a fan of whatever team you think does it right and wins the Superbowl every year????

That team is ______. Weird,,,the Pack has more championships than anyone.

I'm not sure why the dawg is being called a troll? All he said was that "the ship is burning and the players see it."

Just because the Packers got the win doesn't mean that everything in Titletown is now peachy. They could have easily lost. It would not have surprised any of us if Matt Ryan would have lead the Falcons down to kick the game winning FG.

Winning covers up a lot.

When you open your eyes and see the reality of the situation, then come talk to me. The Packers have been in a slow decline since their epic loss in playoffs to the 2011 Giants.

But yeah, you're probably right, #12 will fix a lot of problems. He can win any game and keep the Packers relevant. However, I watched #4 have a great career surrounded by poor coaching, poor FA signings and only one SuperBowl. I'm hoping that isn't the fate of #12.

Sorry but if you disagree with me that is fine but I ask that you do not insult me. That makes you the Troll.

We still have a shot if Rodgers comes back this week at Dallas. I can't see this team beating Dallas in TX without Rodgers. I'm not sure why Burnett has slipped so badly and he needs to turn things around. Raji can leave anytime as fas I am concerned. If TT pays him $8MM to stay then maybe it's time for TT to go too. Much rather spend the $8MM on a decent FA than keep that toad Raji around.

Might not have been any adjustments that mattered.

Atlanta is a team from Deep South that plays in a dome and was eliminated from playoffs before they stepped on frozen tundra for a road game. They went to locker room at halftime and warmed up and all they could think about was getting on nice warm plane for ride home.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and have lived in Deep South for last 10 years. Wisconsin in winter now feels like insanity and I can't wait to get home and warm my bones. If you haven't acclimated yourself to those winter temps, it's an extremely unpleasant experience and apathy towards "work" can easily set in. Whatever adrenaline falcons had in first half to keep them warm wasn't there in second half for road game in arctic circle.

December 09, 2013 at 10:04 pm

gman, yeah I know what Ron Wolf did. It is my professional opinion that how TT does things is much more difficult than what Ron Wolf did.

Ron Wolf when he was hired was given an open checkbook for the first time in Packers history and given free reign to sign whoever he wanted and he did just that. Ron had nothing to lose so he gambled on Favre and won. He signed many high priced free agents and it worked. Mike Sherman did the same and it didn't work.

Ron won a championship but didn't build the team for the long term. TT is in a different situation. He could do what Wolf did but they would end up in salary cap hell very shortly and would have to hit rock bottom at some point.

TT's "draft and develop" philosophy enables him to maintain success year in and year out for the LONG term as long as he has an elite quarterback.

As a man who witnessed the 70's and 80's, I enjoy winning every year with the hope of making the playoffs. You have no idea how great this run has been. This is why I have a mini statue of Ted Thompson in my man cave. Everytime the Packers score I salute that statue and say "thank you Ted!!".

Stroh, I know it's disturbing but it's true. I do have a mini statue. That's how much I worship this man. You grew up in that same time period Stroh referring to the 70's and 80's.

You know first hand how bad it was for over 20 fucking years of being the laughing stock of the NFL. These younger punks have no clue how good they have it only knowing Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers as their qb's.

That's why I can always tell how old people are by how hard they fight in defense of our legendary G.M.. You Stroh are one of them and I also commend you.

I am proposing building a statue of Ted Thompson the size of the statue of Liberty next to Lambeau so when people fly into Green Bay they will never forget who the man was that put us back on top. Of course it will probably never happen but that is my dream. Ted deserves this for all he has done damnit!!

I see what you're saying about TT but also got lucky with drafting Aaron Rodgers. I think the dd process does work but TT has missed on many of his picks-like all GMs. The winning formula is a mix of signing FA and DD. I like TT but I'm not ready to erect any statues just yet. The winning of a superbowl allowed everyone to give a pass to MM and TT. Image if Michael Vick completes the TD pass instead of being picked by T. Williams in the 2010 divisional game, or if Cutler doesnt get hurt in the NFC championship...would everyone think this team was built by the best GM or coached by the best coach? Even before the Rodgers injury I thought the team was in a semi-rebuild year and thers nothing wrong with that. However, the talent on this team doesnt even come close to that of teams that we want to be like.

I think Ron Wolf built a team to win today. Also, he built the packers when nobody wanted to come to green bay. Green bay was the where players dreaded playing. I don't think players feel like that anymore. Ron Wolf signed guys to make a run and after winning he signed eugene robinson to make another run. I don't feel like TT has built this team to win tbis year because it lacks a key component in winning...veteran leadership. Thats why I pick ron wolf ahead of TT. I hope I will change my mind real soon when the pack win another superbowl

Why are you here? Please stop posting non sense that is not related to the pack. Please let us have your opinion about the game/season.

Oh I've given my opinion many times. My Opinion is the Packers have one of the best GM's in the game today. My opinion is this team would have been unstoppable if not for the epidemic proportions of injuries. I'll defend the men who brought this team to the playoffs 4 straight years with a title. Could be 5, it ain't over. the trolls just come here to cause crap. Good enough?

TT is a very good gm. That said, mm coaching/play calling has been questioned for the past seven seasons. DC has been questioned the past three seasons. Oline and special teams have been questioned the past 3+seasons. Why is that blashemy? Rodgers has bailed them out.

You guys seem to think that this win solves a lot of issues. The team came out flat yesterday after 10 days of rest and needing to win. They surprisingly came out after half made the right adjustments. Do you think that MM and DC usually make good mid-game adjustments? I don't (that doesn't make me a troll), just my opinion. I like to come here to comment about the staate of the packers, what I think is right/wrong with the team and what I'd like to see change (my opinions). What is commented on here is not fact nor should it be treated as such. If I wanted to keep thoughts to myself I would stay off my tablet. I like reading other ideas, comments and thoughts. Some things I dont agree with, some I do. If reading these posts causes you emotional or mental unrest then I wouldn't recommend reading or posting. Good night, go pack go

You are a troll unless you say any of these approved observations:

1. Ted Thompson is God.
2. Mike McCarthy is Jesus.
3. Dom Capers is the best D-coach ever.
4. The Packers are going to the Super Bowl.
5. The Packers lose only because the refs suck.

All other comments, no matter how rational or supported by evidence, shall be considered trolling
