Wisconsin tackle Gabe Carimi interviewed with the New England Patriots while at the NFL Scouting Combine. Or did he?
INDIANAPOLIS – While meeting with the media while at the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday, a brief exchange with Wisconsin tackle Gabe Carimi went like this:
Question: "How many teams have you met with so far? Do you remember the teams you had a chance to speak with?"
Answer: "I met with most of them. All of them basically."
Question: "Were the Ravens one of the team?"
Answer: "The Ravens were one of the teams."
Question: "The Patriots?"
Answer: "I can't comment on the Patriots."
Translation: Yes, I spoke with the Patriots, and they specifically asked me not to tell anyone.

He probably just should have answered with "who?" Admitting that the Patriots exist as a team is probably revealing too much.

I would expect every team meets with every top prospect they possibly can at the combine. It's not really hard to figure that out.
