No Significant Changes in Nike's New Packers Jersey

Nike unveiled new jerseys for all 32 teams at an event in New York City Tuesday, including the Packers' mostly unchanged look.

As many had expected, Nike shied away from making any discernible changes to the Green Bay Packers uniform for the 2012 season. Nike unveiled their uniform collection for all 32 teams at an event in New York City Tuesday.

The template for the actual uniform design is the biggest change to all 32 uniforms. A light-weight, more flexible material is used in Nike's "Elite 51" collection.

And yes, the "G" remains on the side of the Packers helmet, despite tight end Tom Crabtree's best April Fools effort to trick fans Sunday.

Here is a link to Darren Rovell's photo of the Packers 2012 home jerseys.

Thank goodness. I saw how the Bears finally moved their TV numbers up onto the shoulder.

I'd actually like to see the Packers 'G' on the shirt or at least the team name on the front (ala Falcons).

It's not always as black and white as that. While there are many changes people do fear, and that may be the case with some in this regards, I think it's just that many are old-fashioned and LIKE the classic look. It's traditional. While some people are open to change, others simply prefer not to.

We want to ride the train as long as we can. Change is inevitable. Not yet. ;)

For now C.D. I also sense much sarcasm in that.

I'm just happy Seattle got stuck with the highlighter yellow/fluorescent Power Ranger look and not us.

Sucks for Matt Flynn, however.

Thank God. The Seahawks are going to look like they are auditioning to be extras in a re-make of Mad Max.

Based on the photo link, they've also outfitted Aaron Rodgers with an Adamantium exoskeleton. That can only be a good thing.

kinda like the 80's jerseys with number on the pants as a throwback but it might be best not to bring back many 80's memories

Why would Nike pick that childish, immature, thug "Suh" to be its fat headed centerfold? What re-brand effort is it trying to accomplish? Might as well put Plaxico Burress in front.

Then again, Mike Vick is in the pic so I guess Suh does have someone to hang out with when he's out back smoking a blunt.
