No Need To Panic About the Packers Wide Receivers
With Davante Adams traded away and Marquez Valdes-Scantling signing with Kansas City, there's some work to do at the wide receiver position in Green Bay.

I just need to keep telling myself that they are going to run the ball. Everything will be okay as long as they run the ball. Just run the MF ball!

I wish it was that simple. We need both to be competitive. One without the other is doomed.

The concern that might approach panic is Gutey looking at those two first round picks, and deciding he needs to keep his Generalmanagerback happy, pisses them both away on a couple of legend-in-their-own mind, diva-in-waiting WR princesses while ignoring some of the studs at edge, DL, OL or TE that might be in the draft position neighborhood where he's picking.

If Gute drafts a TE in the first round, he should be fired. No TE's come close to having 1st round grades. WE may not see a TE go until late 2nd or even 3rd round.
While I am in the camp that WR is the #1 need (right now) and 1 will be taken in round 1, I expect Gute to take BP available and that could include an Edge, S, OL or DL player, as well as a WR.
If you are suggesting that Gute shouldn't waste any picks on a "legend-in-their-own mind, diva-in-waiting WR princess", I think you will be sorely disappointed.

The Packers WR room has been lacking talent (besides Davante) for too long. Sure MVS, Lazard and Cobb helped round it out, but I don't view any of them as a legit #2 WR. Yes, MVS signed a $10M/year contract with the Chiefs, but guessing the Packers didn't want anything to do with over paying their 1 trick pony.
Will this finally be the year that a Packer GM actually puts some FA and/or draft resources into the position? Seems like it, but most of us thought that years ago. Packers have the highest paid player in the NFL, yet their WR room looks like an after thought or another teams Practice squad.
