If the Packers were interested in him, now would be the time that they would consider bringing him in. With the injury to Cook and considering he is still on crutches, this maybe a longer injury for him.

The Packers worked out 2 TE's. Rob Housler and JP Holtz. So there seems to be some concern at the TE position.

There should have been concern at the TE position after Finley retired, Quarrles looked OK until injuries got to him and I still don't understand what they saw in Richard Rodgers, cant block and can't run and before and after signing Cook a lot of us thought GB would still draft a impact TE.Even if Cook comes back and has a good season I hope they pick up a difference maker TE in next years draft

Has he been working out with Terrel Owens and Randy Moss?

I doubt they will actually sign anyone at TE, Teddy still has his draft pick Richard " the parking meter" Rodgers 4.88 40 and UDFA Perillo 4.77 40. Although Winslow is not a likely option neither are the two guys they worked out, thats just Ted kicking the tires just to make it look like he is doing something,we all know that he will stick with who he has

No good - too slow....if he was any good, they would of signed him already. Not to mention the rest of the league has passed. "The parking meter" Rodgers......good stuff. Apt description. I wonder if they actually went out to find the slowest TE in the NFL, because they succeeded.

Thanks, Rodgers can catch but after he does that's as far as he gets, anyone on the opposing defense can cover or catch him

I made my comment about current FA in the other FA post. I'll surmise my position on signing any of these players by simply saying this: No.

A blind one legged man could produce the numbers cook has so far. They should end this experiment. He isn't the magic find for teddy. This guy is a bum.

I like the way they got Chmura: 230 lb receiving tight end, lived in the weight room, a year or two later he was up to 250 and had learned to block. After that all he lacked was speed, but he had developed in the weight room (bulked up) and on the practice field learning to block. And this from a sixth rounder. I think they had similar plans more recently for that smallish tight end from Arkansas but things didn't pan out. Things don't always pan out. But I'd rather it be from a mid round choice (with upside) than from a big $ FA.

I loved the comment made that Chmura "outslowed his opponents".

I think "Q" is trouble, otherwise I'd say yeah. But he did have problems with injuries so I think they made the right decision to move on.
