Help a Former Packers Cheerleader in Her Fight Against Cyberbullying
Earlier this week, this photo of a Green Bay Packers Cheerleader was uploaded to a Chicago Bears Fan page on Facebook.
It was posted with the status: Like if You Agree The Packers Have The Worst Cheerleaders In The NFL!
What followed were numerous offensive and sadly predictable comments.
The woman in the photo though decided to fight back and uploaded this video to YouTube.
On a personal note:
As a female sports fan, I am hyper sensitive to issues like this. I love hating the Chicago Bears, and enjoy mocking their players. But I find it distasteful, classless and against the heart of being a fan, to go out of your way to insult a single fan (or cheerleader) of a rival team. In turn, I find this video touching and the true spirit of being a fan. It's not Chicago Bears fans that are evil, its not Packer fans that are the victims. It's about passionate fan bases, that should be able to treat other fans with respect. Therefore, I will be supporting this Packer fan in her quest to get the picture and comments removed, and I hope, after watching this video, you will do the same.

On there page just now: THE PICTURE HAS BEEN REMOVED. WE WERE JUST NOTIFIED OF IT. EVERYONE WHO CONTINUES TO POST HATEFUL THINGS TOWARDS THIS PAGE:

2. THE PICTURE HAS BEEN REMOVED SO YOU CAN STOP
3. WE DO NOT CONDONE BULLYING, NOR CAN WE CONTROL IT.

Yes, the Packers have cheerleaders that are college students from the two local colleges--St. Norbert College and UW Green Bay. They are not professional cheerleaders.

Me, too, originally from Illinois, now in Wisconsin. I can't understand when fans take it to the next level, being mean and hateful, downright rude. Disliking your rival team is one thing, attacking making mean remarks on a personal level, no way.

It's unfortunate that there are so may low-lives who feel they can bully other people. It's one thing to critisize someones' job performance or other things, but this can all be done in a civil way. I think most of those people have nothing in their life which is positive, and so they lash out at others to make themselves feel better, but in the end they are just insecure little people who have nothing going for them.
And for what it is worth, this young lady certainly isn't ugly. Maybe the people who posted those comments should include pics of themselves, and also their girl-friends/wives, but I think they're too scared to do that.
