I agree with you obviously. But the bigger and more glaring issue, was the complete lack of a pass rush in the first half. If green bay can get pressure with 4, then they give ballentine and nixon a chance against Jefferson and friends. You have to get pressure with 4 when missing 2 corners, and sam had all damn day to throw. This is the same guy who was "seeing ghosts" against the pats a few years ago, and he he 8 to 10 seconds to throw. Pathetic man.

Agreed. Of all the things that went wrong, the lack of pass rush was the biggest problem. I was hoping they had gotten into a groove against the Titans last week, but obviously it was just a case of playing with a lead against a bad offensive line and bad QB.

Arrrrrrgggghhhhhhh! Well, all the issues that have been out there returned to roost today....pourous defense, kicking game, linebackers exposed once again in coverage. Back end is very different without Alexander. No pass rush in the first half, shoot, no stops on Minnesota drives until half time, Sone new wrinkles, four turnovers by two guys generally careful with the ball. There aren't enough swear words here for losing a game that by all rights, we should have won. On to the next one, GOPACKGO! -One more thing......why did we give up so early on the run game?

This is kind of a dumb statement. Jaire got a pick 6 last week. He wasn't great against Philly, but I put that on the coach for having him cover aj brown 1 on 1 the entire first half, and he had a pick that game too. Idk what dopes gave this 5 thumbs up. I get the Valentine point but we missed both of them.

Well, it was the Vikings superbowl… cause thats a close as they will get to seeing it. They played a 49er team with No McCafrey and no Kittle. They let the packers come back from 28-0 for a final of 31-29 so I dont know how they can feel good about that win. It was evident Love had rust to knock off the entire first half. And GB basically didnt have a kicker and down 2 CBs.

But as a packer fan, this was the worst game to watch in 30+ yrs. At one point I turned it off and went outside and mowed the lawn. I dont want to see Nixon in the secondary for the rest of the year.

" I dont want to see Nixon in the secondary for the rest of the year."

I'd like to see a whole lot more Evan Williams at Safety and Bullard in the slot. Nixon isn't good in coverage and with the new KO Rules he sure in the hell isn't worth $6 million a year.

No surprise it was you NP! You always call it for what it is. There are times I appreciate Nixon's toughness and savvy but he scares the hell out of me, since he is equally capable of doing something stupid at the worst time. On both sides of the ball. And I think we got some more talent now that can fill that role and others as well.

Don't be so sure about this being the Vikings Super Bowl. This isn't the Vikings of old. This is a solid team and quite frankly the Packers could learn a few lessons about personnel acquisition from them.

Yeah that’s true.. the Packers have some players that just continue to disappoint on defense especially. Kenny Clark, Nixon, Gary, and Walker . Gary is being paid like a game changer and he’s been average since his contract.

The flukey fail mary in 14 with the high school refs I can deal with. They were in that game. But this one stinks….from special teams, 1st half defense, 1st half offense…. The last 2 seasons I don’t recall seeing a kicking situation quite this atrocious.

Missed kicks, a fumble, two tipped INTs, terrible drops by Wicks, a chuck it to Jesus ball when it wasn't needed = losing. Oh and it was VERY clear we missed Ja and CV today. Oh well. Onto next week.

Good thing it's September. I'm still excited about this team long term. Hope Watson is ok and they find a new kicker.

I'd add:
- bad decision to play hero ball after long completion in 4th. I know it's easy to judge afterwards, but there was a tight coverage and it was 1st down. Even if we ended up with 3 points...
- offense is a powerhouse but Love had some rust and receivers were not very sharp too. They just couldn't play they ball game after start like this. Hurrying things up is not ideal. Offense needs to do 2 things: clean penalties and turn up red zone efficiecy,
- defense - looks like new guy same problems. Not every Sunday you can face poor Titans. Our pass rush is dead most of the time. Secodnary was beat up so I don't judge it. The bright spot is the whole safety room. Our biggest weakness became the strength.

How many times you can fail and still win the game with unbeatem team? Both teams made so many mistakes that normally they would be written off very soon. Today it was a torture, being so close but falling short.

Do any of you agree with me on J.L? I think he is overrated and over paid, the packers office threw money at him too soon, he throws into coverage repeatedly. I don't believe he will be as good as B.F. or A.R. Love threw 3 picks today, I was disappointed with his judgment. Also I thing Malik is better. And the Bears will beat us for the first time in 5 years.

I dont think Malik is better, 2 games were pretty run heavy for a reason.
But I think they should have mad him play out his contract before showering him with money… but I dont know how that stuff works. Also they available QB FAs and quality QB draft picks were pretty marginal so maybe they didnt really have a choice. But, I still see Love as an accenting QB who is improving. 50 mil a yr seems to be the price to pay for a QB. But , cut the kid some slack for not playing in a month . LaFluers plan wasn’t exactly stellar either.

Jordan Love had a pretty darn good showing today.

Of all the INTs, only one is arguably a poor decision (and not even a poor throw), that would be the one he threaded into Watson when he got injured- and that throw was absolutely on the money, it hit Watson in the hands, but it was a dangerous throw between 3 defenders. If Watson makes that catch, it's looked at as an example of insane accuracy and arm talent.

Love, even while still somewhat limited by the MCL recovery, was getting through his progressions and throwing that ball all over the field with accuracy today, even as he was sometimes under pressure.

I like Love’s character and attitude. He gives 100% in every game. That said, I think he and his agent hit the all time jackpot when they snookered Gutekunst to go all in on a massive contract based on half a season’s performance. Happy that he and his family are set for life.

I don’t blame Gary so much as teams are planning to double him now and they don’t seem the need to double Wyatt or slayton. They need something more out of the middle of that D. However I’ve been saying this since 2012, they need to draft it heavy and ugly in the middle. and in a 4 -3 the middle LB is supposed to be a thumper in the run gameand the sam and mike are supposed to be fast. McDuffie is assignment sure, but he is not fast. Some of the soft coverage I didn’t understand, but given than CV and Alexander were out maybe they had to do it that way. I would have rolled with Stokes, Ballentine and maybe played a safety as a cb this game cause Nixon is not a CB…maybe a teams player and occasion Safety or blitzer, but in now real world should he be covering Addison or Jefferson…like ever. I’m done with the kicker. I’d almost like to see them trade for a kicker or grab one from overseas or from the CFL. I cannot watch him kick another game.

He got it together in the second half, our non existent pass rush and bum kicker put us in a hole, and love was playing from behind from the jump. Well, the Vikings scored 4 TDs in the first half. We certainly helped them with some penalties on their 2nd drive. Still, a poor showing. Darnold had the time he needed and he got to play the entire game with a lead.

Those four turnovers of ours.....you lose 90% of the time that you turn it over 4 times. The FG unit missed two, but the punt coverage team scored 7 so that balances out.

We have scored 29, and lost, in both of Love's starts. I mean, it's odd that a team scored 29 points and loses, and when it happens twice in four games? That's enough to make me go "Hmmmm".

On the plus side, we scored 29 despite 4 turnovers and two missed FGs. That's how strong this team is on offense. We've hit 29 or more in 3 out of 4 games, which makes us a top scoring offense, and historically, the top scoring offenses make the playoffs. Reason to step away from the ledge.

My bullet point Gut reactions are:

-Out prepared
-Out coACHED
-OUT PLAYED
- VERY SLOPPILY PLAYED GAME
-TOO MAY PENALTIES
- CAN'T WIN WITH 4 TURNOVERS
- DEFENSE COULD NOT GET A STOP AFTER THE PACKERS MADE IT 28-22
- LOVE WAS RUSTY FOR THE first 2 1/2 quarters
- First half was a disaster
- MLF did not have team prepared to play from the opening kickoff in an important game again.
- If we had an NFL kicker our valiant 4th quarter comeback would have delivered a win with the 6 points left on the field due to missed FGs early.

Sign an NFL kicker and bring on the Rams. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

The Packers are consistently outprepared and usually outcoached.
Too many penalties because the Packers' defense has shit for brains game after game after game.
Too many dropped passes.
The field goal kicks would have been made if the coaches pointed the blind kicker in the right direction. With a solid Vilkings, yes they are better than the Packers, an improving Bears and a solid Lions, the Packers may end up in the bottom of the division.

He was throwing everything short early. I hate seeing him make poor decisions at this point in his career. He needlessly threw deep balls into double coverage 2-3 times. It seemed he generally had time to throw but either he's not seeing them or our receivers aren't getting open.

Love had one questionable throw in my opinion, and it was right on the money to Watson, who didn't catch it, and it ended up an INT.

Other than that throw, I do not recall Love forcing the ball into places it shouldn't have gone. Can you find highlights and point out the throws you're talking about?

I will say this, there was a play on either 3rd or 4th & 8 (I believe) where the play design was all deep routes with no one underneath that I thought was extremely questionable- they seemed to be attempting to put it in the endzone as opposed to just moving the sticks. I'm not sure that's on Love, and it wasn't a throw into double coverage, it was just a poor play selection.

Well that was easy for Sam the Sham and the Vikings opening drive.
Drive stalls and the kicking issue rears its ugly head.
Some were worried about the wrong Defense.
UH-OH Penalties help make it 14-0
Forced ball by Love is INT'ed and Watson gets hurt.
End 1st quarter, Lucky for GB.
This is getting ugly quick...yikes!!! 21-0
OK Love, earn some of that money.
And 'SPLATT' and another FG miss.
I thought they might have a chance, but another Love INT ends that. 28-0
Where's Malik?
Love throwing low balls to keep away from blanket coverage.
Min with another chance for points....denied, Victory
Boy oh Boy is Love favorind that left leg.
I said I don't mind a loss with Willis as Love needed another week.
A break for GB...but another bad challenge by MLF and gets an Unsporstmanlike on top of it, but Reed pulls in the TD.
Would like to see a Tale of Two Halfs.

2nd half
1st possession a dud.
Hafly defense playing halfly.until McKinney shows up, again.
Another dud possession.
Late 3rd quarter life, but it needs to end in a TD.
Penalty and bad 3rd down conversions.
Don't let the ball hit your chest, especially a TD pass geez, Wicks.
Hate on this, but I'm going with Malik in the 4th.
Love heard me and gets the TD.
Those two missed FG's are looming larger.
AND THE DEFENSE ARRIVES WITH THE SACK,FUMBLE & RECOVERY!!!
TD, and now it's a new game. WOW!!!
And a MIN FG makes it a 9 pt lead and that hurts the comeback.
And the door is closed with the 3rd INT by Love, oowwiee.
And now it's welded shut with a fumble.
Too many damm mistakes not counting the 5 turnovers.
A moral victory by keeping Aaron Jones out of the Endzone, it ain't much, but still.

-How does he prep the team for Willis but not Love - and a home game yet!
-In hindsight, I would have liked Willis to have played.
-What's with those long hero balls? Didn't we get rid of AR?
-Can we buy a kicker now please?
-Comeback made it some fun but that wasn't real.
-What kind of onside kick was that?
-I thought the second one was was a catch. They didn't show exactly where the ball hit the ground.
-I hope Watson is ok. Wyatt did not look good walking away.
-Willis 2-0; Love 0-2. I hope Love takes that to heart.

A very apt title. Just a slopfest generated by the Packers with self-inflicted wounds aplenty. Let thee count the ways:

--No defensive pressure on the QB in the first half. It took Hafley too long to find alternative sources like Quay and Nixon in the second half.

-- Drops by Packer receivers in the first half.

--Holey zone coverage in the first half that didn't work.

--Reckless throws by Love in double coverage, and a ridiculous deep shot in the fourth quarter to a wide open Vikings #7. Absolutely no need for it.

--The Kraft fumble.

--A kicker who can't make a 37-yard field goal. With one who can, we might be in a much better mood now.

--The good: Offensive line was pretty solid, and Reed had his usual impactful game.

I am pissed by this poor showing by our team. And the head coach, as frustrated as he may have been, cannot be getting unsportsmanlike penalties.

That J. Love " ridiculous deep shot in the fourth quarter to a wide open Vikings #7" was a good throw to a WR who had decided to shut down his route and at the last second realized the ball was in the air and heading his way- and he had to make up time for the adjustment.

The other potentially "reckless throw into double coverage" was, technically, triple coverage to Watson and while I agree it was a dangerous throw, Love threaded that needle with ridiculous precision. Watson didn't make the catch, presumably due to the pain of getting his leg rolled up on, and it became a INT, but the throw was on the money.

I saw it exactly as you , that int was on wicks slowing down not thinking the ball was coming his way. The play to Watson probably should have gone elsewhere also while wicks started making plays late he sure was off in the beginning Now as far as kicker either keep bringing in try out players or bring back Carlson as he usually only missed one a game ?

Today just confirmed what I beleived:
1. Our kicker would costs us a game and the coaching staff is doing nothing to find a new one. Today it costs us big time.
2. Pass d is the achiles heel of this team and the Vikes know it and took advantage of it all day against Nixon and Stokes. Two guys who I dont like; one doesnt like to tackle and avoids contact the other is slower then molasis.
3. LeFluer gets too caught up in play calling and not managing the game. He lost it. You cannot run onto the field ever and challenge the refs. Should have been penalized twice for 30.
He should spend time this week coaching this team up - tooooo many penalties, too many mental mistakes.
4. Running teams get in trouble when they fall behind. It forces you to do something you didnt practice a lot. It causes confusion versus a balanced run pass attack everyone is involved in.
5. Teams that are smart will go to pass pass pass playing the packers. There were Vikes so wide open they could have opened a lemonade stand. Pack are lucky it wasnt 42 to 0.
6. I cant blame the d coach for having guys who cant cover and 4 pass rushers who cant show up against good teams. Hope he realized he is in trouble. Reality should have set in today. Change is needed.

This is perhaps the best that I've ever felt after a loss........ weird!!!!

3 Int (2 tipped and 1 that should never have been thrown)
1 Forced Fumble - Tucker, you aren't playing Rugby, don't hold the ball like there's no consequences to it being punched out.
2 Missed Field Goals (47 & 51 Yards)..... the first one didn't even look close.

Game Tweet - Minnesota owned the first quarter, then it was all GB, but costly turnovers with 6 & 4 mins to go gifted the game.

GB Defense got going from the 2nd qtr and owned the Vikings after that.

GB Offense able to move the ball at will and looked better and better as the game went on (as Love worked the rust off).

Josh Jacobs' ability to stay on his feet after contact is a difference making ability - why he was used so sparingly was a head scratcher.

I thought that the Punter was prepping for a drop-kick with hang time (a la Rugby) and thought " here we go, this might be interesting"....... then he flubbed it and made it an anti-climax.... oh, well, there's ground here to work on.

Can we puuleeazee find a competent officiating crew.
Jordan Love is the real deal—some of his INT’s are head-scratchers.
Watson cannot remain healthy, but we have the talent to overcome.
I think we should blitz more.
Our team is gonna be really good. We played the hottest team in football, with two missed FG’s, and an officiating crew determined to make the Vikings 4-0; and nearly overcame. I’m not worried.
Go Packers!!!

Many on this board are not aware Love tossed 17 interceptions his senior year, the most of his interception filled college career. But gutt picked him. I'm still waiting for the real Love to show his face, today may be a preview

That INT is on the WR, not the QB

Watch it again.

Notice how when Wicks looks back for the ball, he is surprised, and immediately has to increase his speed? That's because he was no longer running his route at full clip; he either thought the ball was going to another WR or he thought the play was over.

Evidence #2; after the play, Wicks was seen on telecast walking down the sideline apologizing to the rest of the skill position players for his gaffe.

The refs clearly gifted the Packers with that McKinney interception. He was juggling it when he went out of bounds. The calls that went against the Packers were all very close and were decided by instant replay, not the refs on the field.

Watson became an official bust for me last year. He can't run routes, he wants to run straight but he really isn't fast enough to lose defenders. He was gutts one pick so they won't get rid of him. He has done nothing in 4 years..

With a two point difference at the end it is pretty awfully convenient to lay this at the foot of Narveson. Yeah, he doesn't inspire confidence and that 37 yarder especially should have been a gimme. Make even one of those two misses and who knows. But as we all witnessed, it wasn't just Narveson.

This doesn't mean I'm preaching forgiveness for the man because, they have to find someone better. Journeyman kickers seem to be everywhere but where are the really good ones because other teams suffer misses as well.

It sure did seem, primarily in the first half, that Love was not completely ready for his return. Too many balls thrown at the shoelaces and that hospital ball to Watson was a WTF moment.

Folks will delve into stats, yards, first downs, TOP and think this wasn't as bad as it seemed. No, it was as bad as it seemed even though they kinda got back in it. The drops, the turnovers, and enough of the damn penalties already. This was a team loss in all phases of the game. I refuse to believe that just by missing Alexander from the line-up that it could cause this much of a mess.

Early enough in the season to make corrections, learn from it, get some players to step up, and quit being hanky magnets. Give Minnesota their due. They are playing very well at the moment and they are a very well coached team.

Once the Packers were able to get some rhythm and protect Love, they moved the ball pretty effectively. What the Packers did won't be missed by other OC's, and the back 7 of the Vikings isn't great.

The sad truth, being here in Minny and seeing the Vikes, they played like crap today. Frisco was first and three and couldn't score a TD.
The game wasn't as close as the score.
They did have a plan to attack stokes and Nixon. That worked.

First downs were there to be had more than a few times with a nice short pass over the middle..once again MLF did not have this team ready to play...

Yea, at least the Pack cashed in for 14 points on 2 Vike turnovers to kind of get them back in.

This Viking team reminded me of the Packers not too many years ago, get a good lead at halftime and than try to coast through the 2nd half.

Still hard to win against anyone when you have 4 turnovers and only convert 25% of your 3rd downs.

The bright spot...4/5 in the red zone!!
Nice.

Tom M
"I feel better about Narveson than I ever did about Anders Carlson."

^ Yet, another 'classic' learning moment from the know it all down the hall at the website at barely still alive totalpackers.^

Jordan Love wasn't just 'rusty' as some say.
IMO...he clearly wasn't quite ready yet. Alot of his passes were at the shoelaces/shin.
He clearly favored his left leg.
To his credit, he did throw a fair amount of dimes, BUT.....he didn't have anything close to his quick feet and mobility. But he had some nice throws, to be sure.
Not sure why they played him, but i imagine they wanted this game bad.
Win.....and they are tied with the Vikings.
Lose....and they are in the cellar with the Bears.

Thank God Rashan Gary showed up. his name was called twice and he's listed as having 4 solo tackles.
Which...is better than the one tackle he had against the Titans.
Who knows, maybe next week he can help the team with a sack.
Dare to dream.

Anyone notice if Preston Smith played today?

Bring on the Rams....Like Nag says, there's a lot of football left.

This had the look of a gosh-awful football weekend from Friday through Sunday with a few minutes to go in the first half. Now there's some hope the Packers can beat a short-handed Rams team next week (who almost beat the Bears in Chicago) in LA. Still, this was a pretty important game if the Packers want to win the division--which they still could--but now it's a harder climb.

First off, I'm not naive enough to think that if the Packers hit those two kicks in the first half, they win. Everything changes after that point. They would have just as likely been blown out worse as they would've won by 4. That said: Brayden Narveson should've found a pink slip in his locker after the game. Gute is smart enough to not cut him until he's tried out a couple kickers and got a contract ready to be signed, but there's no way you can bring this guy back next week. He's below replacement level and is a poison pill for fans...and there are replacement level guys to be had.

Second, for those who lived through the Brett Favre years, we've seen these kinds of QB performances. Am I saying Love is Favre? No, but the flow of this game was reminiscent of that (or even Don Majkowski). Let's not kid ourselves: the Vikes took their foot off the gas for awhile and the Packers benefitted. That said, the plays still needed to be made and the Packers made enough to put themselves in position to try to win.

The Packers couldn't contend with the Vikings pass-catchers. They were mostly running free when they needed to, especially in the first half--and then later on their FG drive. TOP was mostly even, and number of plays was pretty close. The defense got to rest more in the second half, but they just got had without Jaire and Valentine.

Sloppy game for the most part for the Packers. It's clear now that Jordan Love has a ways to go before he fits the bill of a take-command passer. He's prone to lofting balls off his back foot and asking his receivers to make plays for him...he's been lucky that they often do. Two of his picks were tipped balls and there were still way too many catchable dropped balls. People are bitching about the corner route/INT, but we've seen 4 and 12 throw that same ball so many times--often resulting in INTs--and we've bitched about them, too. I think Willis might've made some plays with his legs, but I don't kid myself into thinking he would've done better. I think that Vikes D would've cooked him, especially down 3-4 scores.

I think if you said the Packers would be 2-2 after 4 games having played 2 with Willis as their starter, you'd feel pretty fortunate...you also wouldn't expect they'd be 2-0 in the Willis games and 0-2 in the Love games. Hopefully this young team comes out with fire in their bellies next week--and every week--going forward.

I wonder how much his injury influenced that throw?

Throwing off the back foot is also a bad practice - the combo of the 2 was a killer.

I cut more slack to Favre and Majkowski due to living through so much losing. I appreciated the excitement, the hope, and some additional wins, as well. We cut slack to Rodgers simply because he threw so few interceptions.

You are asserting that was a corner route? Geez, I thought it was a fade. (I hate the fade far more than the corner route, as far as that goes.) I thought Love tried to throw it out of the end zone and just didn't get enough on it because he was getting hit at roughly the same time. When the announcer said Love was throwing it up there so his receiver could make a play on it, I took leave to doubt it. It was 1st and 10 at the MN 34 yard line with 6:34 left in the game, down 9. Just throw is away or take the sake rather than toss up a wounded duck. Admittedly, it did not look like a duck - it had a nice spiral and all.

I don't know what I think about lofting passes off the back foot. On the one hand, I think it reduces accuracy; on the other hand, I think it helps keep them upright.

Yeah, it was a hot mess. They're 2 and 2 after four games so it's not time to panic or despair. It shouldn't be a surprise that Love was rusty and it's a safe bet that he won't stay that way. Better days are coming. But finding a new kicker sure does seem like it needs to be on the menu for the coming few days.

Two bad teams.. two wins.
Two good teams .. two close losses. Seems like a sloppy unfocused team right now.
They gave out a lot of money to Nixon and Gary and the returns are just not there.
Love has also lost 3 in a row to good teams, and has multiple turnovers in each game. But he felt the need to not participate in practice until he was paid $220 million.

5/13, 4/8.. that's Wicks and Doubs receptions/targets today. A lot of those non-receptions hit them in the hands. There were other drops as well, but Doubs and Wicks were the main culprits today.

3 INTs 4 TDs... and two of those INTs hit the intended target in their hands or in the numbers. The third was a catchable ball that was put in the air and the WR didn't realize the ball was being thrown his way and wasn't running out his route at 100%..

Love's game tape from today will be graded as a plus performance tomorrow, because for the most part, once he settled in, he played at a pretty high level.

10 drops
Love should've never started looked injured and rusty. He never practiced one time clearly out of sync rusty and just chucking shit up for grabs like Favre. Malik easily gets the dub in this game.
-Love has been the worst QB in the NFL since the second half of that SF game.
-10 costly penalties
-5 TO's mainly due to Love not taking what the defense gives him.
-Defense can't stop screen passes or pick plays not one time did qe stop it.
-Defense should never have man to man coverage with a S on a receiver ever again as it cost them a TD.
-Refs seem to always favor our opponent for every single game this year so far. It's kind of hilarious at this point.
- 2 missed easy FG's

I'm pretty certain penalties and TO's gifted Min 21 points and Penalties/TO's, missed FG's and drops cost GB from scoring another 20 points

The best and quickest answer is to sign Crosby using the Veteran Salary Benefit in the CBA. The minimum for a player with 7+ seasons is approx. 1.2M and you can reduce how much of that goes against the Salary Cap using that benefit. Even at $1.2M and Crosby not in a training camp this year you should be able to convert 85-90% on kicks from 40 yards or less, 80% from 50 yards or less and possibly 50-60% from 50 plus yards. Based on the current offense they win most times and then rotate kickers on the practice squad hoping to find someone with a future. The idea of finding the ANSWER NOW is like flipping a coin, use this as an interim solution.

Crosby's leg strength was already starting to nose dive when the Packers released him.

I would agree he'd be an improvement inside 40, but outside of that, I don't know. The biggest downside to putting Crosby on the roster is, now you've got to keep a second kicker on the roster for kick offs because Crosby no longer can consistently put it through the endzone. I don't know, maybe Whelan can handle kick offs.

Start the search!
It seems to me that it may be even better to Not kick the ball on kick offs to the end zone. Often teams don't make it to the 30 on their returns. Maybe Whelan or Crosby can or whoever the replacement needs to be! We lost the game Because of the kicker. That's really it. I feel for the guy but ..... If he made the 37 yarder everyone would be exulting over a once in the lifetime 28 point deficit come back and not be bitching about the game and the team's issues !

So….the consensus from a majority seems to be fire MLF because he can’t get the team prepared and he’s outcoached (yet had a consensus brilliant game plan the previous two weeks). Many want to trade Love because he tosses too many picks (unlike a prior HOFer) and start Malik (who executed the incompetent MLF game plans on two good legs but is 2-0 against bad teams and cheap salary wise). Some(one) wants Gutey gone because he can’t find a kicker and apparently can’t draft talent to save his life. Oh, and the D continues to stink (down essentially the two starting CBs who went up against the NFLs best receiver and a very good WR2&3. Side note from enemy territory…The Vikings are very high on both Addison and Nailor, the latter who was hurt much of last year). Oh, and the Vikings are in near mid season form having three games in a row with all the vital components. Have I gotten the gist of the comments? Maybe the GM should have gotten Bo Nix (6/12/60/1TD) starting because nobody can Beas bad as love…

Where is the love for McKinney? How about a defense that has more turnovers in four weeks than in 17 last year. R.E.L.A.X. It’s a long season. The QB1 will heal and probably establish some rhythm with his WRs. The CBs will get healthy.

This pass d sucks. Teams who go pass crazy against us will win. They aren't bright enough to play zone.

The current Defense is relying on interceptions and forced fumbles. They need to seriously improve their pass D and tackling. The interior D-line is weak, linebacker Q. Walker is not getting it after almost 3 years, Nixon and Stokes are very ineffective corners. Alexander doesn't tackle but he does intercept. The D's personnel are weak overall compared to what we saw with the Vikings, 49ers & Eagles.
Bissaccia has produced poor results as well-his kickers have cost the team immeasurably.

Loses to the Minnesota NFL franchise usually gut me. This one, not so much. They're not that good and neither are we. Right now.

What if we make that INT on the first possession of the game?

LaFleur really lost his sh*t before he was flagged. It was a huge contrast to Mike Sherman's scowl and mighty fist-through-the-air-aw-shucks punch. Big street cred move by The Brow.

Oh, Brayden. I like everything about you except your ability to kick a football between the uprights. All of Prescott weeps for you and your wife.

It's September. Lotta season left and there's nothing like a dose of the Rams to set ya right.

One person may be lovingly set free.

There is no dumpster fire at 1265.

You and me. It’s September, we’re 2-2. Still, we are 2 games out and we just lost at home to a division rival. The team will improve.

I may be the lone optimist here today. I mean if we had made the almost gimme 37 yard field goal we would have won and surpassed the all time Packer comeback which has been 23 twice! Almost every kicker in the NFL would have made one under 40 including Carlson and Joseph as people have pointed out.
There are tons of issues to address. The fact that Love missed 2 weeks and was rusty and Farve-like at times. I am nkt worried. Hell he almost won it for us. The defense was late out of the gates with 2 starting db's out. Maybe we could/ should have rushed more numbers blitzing.
Still , the Vikings are undefeated so far and have a good team . I reflect on how we could have tied the Eagles with the missed field goal and the failed 2 point conversion . Now coupled with a more painful loss at home against a division rival , I still like our chances. Basically 3 missed field goals and 1 missed 2 point conversion from a possible 4 and 0 record.
A new decent kicker and we look good. We will be better even when healthy and without rust. Gpg since the Neanderthals roamed the earth

Thoughts:
1.) Y does nobody ask JL or MLF y tf he's forcing things or just chucking shit up for grabs? Malik just took qhat the defense gave him and dominated. Y can a backup figure this out but not Love. If Love does that I don't think GB ever loses a single game this year.
From the second half of the SF game until today Love qent from one of the best QB's if not the best to a bottom 10 QB. Y the sudden change? Just take qhat the defense gives u and nobody is even close to beating us.
2.) Find a damn kicker. This is going to be 2 straight years a kicker costs us a playoff game if they don't do something quick. Missing a 37 yd FG and another after that is a joke. The conditions qere nearly perfect. At this point I don't care if they spend a 4th round pick as long as it gives us a reliable kicker I'm cool.
3.) Kenny Clark and Gary seem cooked. They do little to nothing in the run or pass game at this point.
4.) Nixon was toasted more than any other DB in the NFL today. I'd put Bullard or anybody at the slot over him at this point.
5.) Packers had no answer in the first half for the screen passes or pick crossers at all.
6.) 5 TO's
7.) 10 penalties (yes the refs have favored our opponent in every game but 65% of the calls are legit.
8.) Blitz Quay on 50% of plays. The dude is good at nothing really so just blitz him if u r not going to bench him.
9.) Putting ur best DB on JJ and best S basically allowed everybody else to school GB. They finally played zone in the second half but too little too late.
10.) No pressure at all on Pumpkin Darnold. Dude is the worst QB in the NFL vs pressure (comp% and QBR). Y T F didn't they pressure him at all until the 4th Q? TF r u waiting for? This is y he carved u up in the first half. Haffley takes too damn long to make proper adjustments. They nearly dropped 30 on your heads before you made the correct adjustments.
11.) 10 drops (4 Dontay, 3 Doubs, 1 BO, 1 Reed, 1 Muscgrave).
12.) Penalties/nocalls/bs calls/etc, drops, 2 missed FG's and TO's alone gifted the Vikes with 24 pts and took at least 20 pts off the board for GB. Should've been 49-7 Packers. Vikes aren't much better than the Titans talent wise. The main difference is on defense they disguise the blitzes and coverages on every single play and on offense they know how to scheme guys open even with inferior talent.
13.) Stokes, LVN, Quay, Devonte, etc have yet to live up to their first round draft status.

Dumb Crappers qas gutter trash outside of one year. He never adjusted his sytem ever. This dude at least changes game per game and even makes great elite adjustments at halftime. It didn't help that the offense gifted the Queens the ball 5 times and many times in GB's side of the field just qearing out the defense.

Alexander and Valentine out, I don't know that it mattered much. I'm not buying into the Darnold sale, but he could've went from the shotgun sitting in a lawn chair and still did what he did with the time he had. "Packers Defense dripping with talent." Yeah, right. Third and 14, wide open completion for the first down, then a 30 yard TD strike, I wasn't surprised...at all. That's the shame of it.

The score doesn't tell the story. Vikes took their foot off the gas (standard operating procedure in the NFL) or they could've put up 70. They were playing soft D in the second half. He didn't have to, but Trent Green even pointed it out.

Apparently Jordan Love corrodes easily. Maybe there is a uniform made with rustproofing to help out. He needs to stop throwing the ball up for grabs. That has nothing to do with being "rusty" it has everything to do with stupid play. He did that a lot last year but managed to get away with it...except vs. SF in the playoffs. WR's may have dropped some balls yesterday, but they made several catches on poorly thrown passes. If Love ever throws a pass to Musgrave where he doesn't have to fully extend to make the catch, I'm going to take a screen shot of it and frame it.

I don't know how they address the kicker situation, or if they will, but they need to. It was kind of fitting that they showed extra coverage of the Falcon's Koo hitting a 58 yard FG for the game winner when Narveson can't make a 37 yard FG. I'm sure the organization will state they're still confident in him.

On a high note, Jayden Reed. The guy is the WR version of Aaron Jones.

Packers can beat the Rams next Sunday. That will wipe this one from memory until December. Unless you see "Not prepared" repeatedly next Monday. "Not prepared" is becoming their identity.
