Good God Please No

Word tonight that Jim Haslett is now a leading candidate for the Defensive Coordinator job is ill met by moonlight here at Cheesehead TV. To my eyes, his defenses, while billed as 'aggressive blitzing' defenses would be more aptly described as 'easily beaten by a decent quarterback with a good command of his hot routes'.

Needless to say, I am not a huge Haslett fan. Not to mention, I find it a bit odd that MCarthy would interview the man who fired him in New Orleans. Perhaps time (and desperation) have given McCarthy some perspective. I just hope Williams says yes before it gets to the point of McCarthy offering the job to Haslett.

This is getting ridiculous. One thing we have determined beyond doubt, the so-called Sports Media is full of crap and they don't know shit. So, they make it up.

My vote is still Sean McDermott. He is relatively young (that will make MM happy and secure), he has coached in a very aggressive defensive scheme, and from what Dawkins had to say about him, his players respect him.

Haslett is just another old guy looking for a job.

Sooooooooooooooo...when are we actually going to hire a DC?

Was the position posted internally, and they are waiting for the contractually required 2 weeks to expire? (of course, that's genius if they had to post it internally...just fire anyone who might have been interested in the job first, then post it...)

Aaron's title says it all. I do not want Haslett. The previous coach in StL. wasn't that good, but it seemed like Haslett was angling for that job since the preseason.

So, MM wanted Nolan who chose Denver instead. He now is waiting for an answer from Williams. Williams is waiting to see if the D.C. position opens up in TN or he may go to New Orleans for the same job. Haslett is "strong candidate" but he wants the HC job in St. Louis. Damn, it would be nice if MM's top three choices actually wanted to come to Green Bay and not treat Green Bay as plan B.
