So, love refuses to play until he gets a new deal. My understanding from another news source is they are offering more that Patrick Mahomes is getting? Of course Love and his agent know they have Gute by the balls like all QB's today in the NFL. So, it is not surprising that Love will hold out as time is on his side. Gute knows the price will only go up. The last thing wanted is a lengthy delay. If he doesn't play from the start of camp it will hurt the team particularly with the new offensive players. I don't think it helps morale either. The hyperinflation at the QB position is hurting the NFL. At some point it would be nice for for a few General Managers to have some balls and just say no! Luckily, Gute will not be one. So, just get it over and sign him as quick as possible. I know loyalty is a thing of the past in today's NFL. Moreover, it is the agents job to screw the Packers for every penny they can get. So, this contract will test Love's loyalty. I hope he has as much loyalty as Patrick Mahomes who has Pro bowls and two straight Superbowls. We will have to wait and see.
