Nagler I appreciate your take and good insights as always.

How do you feel about getting both Jones AND Williams slightly more overall playing time going forward?

I would like to see a greater percentage of offensive plays out of 2 RB formations and to a lesser extent 1RB/1FB formations (obviously this would still be a minority of plays called overall just an increase). The increase could come from a corresponding slight decrease of 2TE and 1RB formations. LaFleur has a hx of preferring the 2TE formations from being an offensive coordinator and scheming for run blocking. However looking back at tape of the last 10 games he has to see that Jones and Williams have blocked decently and are absolute threats coming out of the backfield for passes on wheel routes or into the flat. Also it creates matchup issues when they start out with Jones and Williams in the backfield and then before the snap have one of them lineup as a receiver.

In games as meaningful as SF I would like to see them go more predominantly with their production horses, which means more time for Jones and Williams and less time for Graham, Lewis, Sternberger, and somewhat Allison and Kumerow. Increasing the ratio of Jones to Williams running snaps to 60/40 instead of 50/50 is fine but increase Williams and Jones snaps slightly overall with more snaps in throwing looks too. Sternberger and Tonyan when he comes back can get more percentages of snaps against the Redskins and Giants. Go more predominantly with the marauding mercenary 2 horsemen of Jones and Williams for SF and in the games that matter.
