Aaron: Here's Hell.
-
Corey: I've said already, you should post more often.

Yeah, we all love what Aaron writes. He's that annoying Packer fan that knows a little bit more than you, and though you often disagrees with him (Kampman, Collins), you still HAVE to listen to him, because you know he knows what he's talking about.

But a big reason people watch the transplants is to hear what you have to say, too, you know?

And I know you're busy as hell (as Aaron is), but it'd be nice for you to have a self topic, like Alex at Packerslounge does, with his Sunday School, Suck List, etc...

It'd be nice to see a weekly or monthly or so "Corey's Rant"...

"Corey Rant! Corey Rant! Corey Rant!"

This week, Corey spends ten minutes discussing who he dislikes more...Daryn Colledge or Mason Crosby! Corey and Tramon Williams discuss country Western movies...PLUS Corey mentions "he who shall not be named"!

This is a post you don't want to miss!

I would love to hear more opinion pieces from Corey. Agree or disagree it tends to be well informed and leads to some good dialogue in the postings.

Nagler - I had an emergent appendectomy last week and was hoping you were posting in a prolific manner to entertain me while I'm laid up at home. How dare you take time for yourself:)

CSS; Why are you crying about it? I had MY appendectomy in March, and he didn't do anything special for me either! Some guys just DON'T care enough. His one virtue that overcomes all shortcomings is that he loves the Packers almost as much as I do. So it's easy for me to forgive him. GO PACK!!

Corey should have given them some help with their site design over there at PD. Wow, that is a bland site!

Was there actual writing?

All I could see was Heidi Klum, Jessica Alba, Cathy Zeta-Jones, and Selma Hayek.

I know there were rumbles about this when he was @ USC. Remember how Clay weighed 78 lbs(slight exaggeration) lbs his Senior year of HS, and 4 years later was a 245 lb STUD? And couldn't get on the field 'till his Senior year @ SC when he literally "BURST" onto the seen?

I know the 2 of them were tight, and the way CM3 seemed to turn 'BEASTLY' in such a short amount of time raised eyebrows, but this is America, and until somebody says they have a positive test result for him... he did it in the weight-room the right way(fingers crossed).

There's a lot of inaccuracy about Matthews height and weight that involves sensationalization of his rapid growth. They always reference his 170 lbs, which is his playing weight at the end of his JUNIOR year of high school. He walked onto the USC campus having grown in height and weighing as much as 226 lbs. (obviously not as proportioned as he is now). So, he redefined his body but didn't go from 170 lbs to 250 lbs like some reports indicate.

Unfortunate for him, he was the teamate of a now known performance enhancing drug user. That being said, Matthews is subject to the same random testing and there's not been a positive result from the combine until now. I seriously doubt there will be anything but innuendo moving forward but some will take the, 'guilty until proven innocent' tact. Not saying that's you, Fitz, but they glorify his weight gain as 'suspect', it wasn't at all.

Well aware of everything CM3, WELL AWARE (C'mon, Chris... you really think I haven't read everything about this kid that every other "die-hard" has? C'mon, man). Perhaps the 78 lb reference made me appear to be misinformed (it was an intentional exaggeration), I assure you, I am anything but.

All I was trying to get at was this:

There were multiple reports that USC LB's used steroids (Clay included)-

It is no secret Clay was a one-year-wonder @ SC, which in-turn "raised eyebrows". Where did this kid come from (THEY said)? Genes can only get you so far (THEY said).

It's no secret Clay went from a HS Junior weighing 165 lbs - to a college Senior with another 80 lbs of BEEF strapped to him... in 5 years (not out of the realm of possibility, but, most definitely out of the norm, Kids that age LIVE in the gym to add an extra 5 lbs of LEAN BEEF).

Like I said, until I see EVIDENCE otherwise, CM3's MY GUY! I love the kid, really do, and I'm gonna attribute his relative "overnight success" to "hard-work" and "genes" with a touch of "late-bloomer" thrown in for good measure.

I just remember how he and Cush were connected in the "roid" talk @ SC, I would not be surprised if his name eventually came up in this mess.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

Alrighty then!

I guess the MULTIPLE LINKS I tried to attach, you know, for... affirmation, weren't accepted by CHTV (once I deleted the links, my post ran No-prob.

Wow, kinda tough to "back-up" a take when you can't "link" to credible sources....

Anyhew, I hope I'm wrong. I just won't be "shocked" to see the same story on Clay that you are seeing with Cush unfold. Be honest with yourself, would you be "shocked"? Really? Seriously? Nah, didn't think so.

let's be real honest. It's the NFL. the MAJORITY of players will use steroids during their careers- some to bulk up, and others for the enhanced tissue regeneration just to get them back on the field because they either just don't want to miss time because they love it, or because they're afraid they'll lose their starting job to an understudy if they don't get back out there.

Go ahead, tell me I'm exaggerating, and try to keep a straight face!

You're not exagerrating, OPPY. There's a limit to the physical prowess a human being can possess. I worked with an orthopedic surgeon and his staff that did ACL and shoulder repairs on NCAA football players. He felt 75% of anybody that's ever bench pressed over 400lbs. at SOME POINT in their lives experimented with performance enhancing drugs. Not that they are juicing now, they just experimented at some point.

Also, recent studies in Florida indicated that 5%-8% of the high school players are juicing. That study was in 2004. I wonder how much it's gone up?

What's typically left out of that weight gain narrative from his junior year is that he grew almost 2.5 inches in height from junior year of high school to end of walk on year as a freshman at USC. That accounts for a lot of mass, Fitz.

Definitely. Like I said, until someone has "PROOF" saying different, Clay did it the right way.
