Newt, I think GB can almost cross off the Top 5 or 6 TEs because they won't draft 1 before the 6th round unless they come into some more picks. Too many other bigger needs like CB, NT, OL, & Edge. If Sam Roush was available @ pick #200, I would grab him because he is one of the best combo TEs in the draft and a better fit than Musgrave. If we wanted a pass catch only TE, we could sign FA Noah Fant for $2-3 million, and trade Musgrave.
TE is not a pressing need before the draft if GB is proactive this off season and signs at least 1 solid FA, and there are more than a few candidates that would be better than Musgrave. And the projected salaries don't cost us any comp picks. GB rolled the dice last year hoping Kraft would not get hurt, and they lost. Musgrave had his best season stat wise and being available, but he still is a TE3 at best and he can't block. Whyle is as good or better than Musgrave, so we should trade Musgrave and sign a FA like Charlie Kolar to upgrade the TE room. Move him earlier rather than later, same with D Wicks.
My strategy before the draft would be to lessen the draft needs @ NT, CB, TE, LB, & KR by signing 1 cheaper, upgrade free agent at each position. It would fill the needs at each position and open up the draft so we could double up at positions of need or even grab a BPA if one falls to us after the 2nd round.

Yea...i agree '61
Too many other needs
Gute drafted a gem in the 3rd round (i'll take things never said before for $400 Alex) 😲😁
Now, with that said.....have we all come to terms with what 2nd rounder Musgrave's is....or isn't?
It seems to me his time to shine was in the 9 games after the Panther game.
