Chiefs Cut Former Packer, Claim Wisconsin Native on Waivers

According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, SiriusXM, TheSidelineView.com and any other number of outlets:

Former Packers front office executive and current Chiefs general manager John Dorsey made some roster moves with Wisconsin ties on Friday.

Lane played his high school football Iola-Scandinavia High School in Wisconsin before playing the past three seasons with the Jaguars.

To make room for Lane, they cut Muir, a member of the Packers in 2007 and again spent time on their offseason roster in 2012.

Didn't Muir have a very solid camp for us last year? Am I remembering that right?

He did. I mean, he was no Richard Seymour, but I was surprised he got cut at the end of camp.

There has to be something about that guy that none of us can see. Maybe he's got really glad BO or is annoying in the locker room.

Otherwise you would think a big agile guy like him that plays hard would be able to keep a steady roster spot.

Could be insubordination (I am speculating). That is the one thing coaches will absolutely not tolerate - coaches usually have great patience with most other stuff - asssignment errors, missed tackles, bad plays and even off-the-field issues

He always seemed like another "guy" and another guy wasn't going to catch Kaepernick anyways. 27 wins since Super Bowl VL. There damn well should be an increased sense of urgency. I would feel it if I were on the staff. It's hard to win in the NFL. Remember Jim Kelly. Remember Bud Grant.
