They're pretty pumped about this guy. Once again, what does Bigby think he's gaining through this whole process?

On NFP website:
"The 6-foot-1, 209-pounder received the standard base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000 as well as a slotted signing bonus and a fourth-year escalator clause that can significantly boost the maximum value of the deal."
That sounds like a good deal for the Packers, even if he just pushes Bigby to play better.
Welcome on board, Morgan!

If the numbers are true, I'd wager two things:

The Packers pointed to Nick Collins and showed how they take care of loyal players who develop under their wing when it's time for a new contract.

And, Morgan Burnett is very, VERY confident in his ability to excel on the field and stay healthy in the process..

This doesn't sound like a deal an agent representing a third rounder would happily sign this early.. Wonder who the agent is, if he represents other Packers who've been taken care of under TT.. Of course, perhaps those escalators are extremely attractive.

This Copeland cat seems to have his shizz together, reporting as of tuesday 7/13 that this deal could be done this weekend. Good work! Agent was seemingly very honest in his appraisal of the situation to Copeland.
