I wasn't sold on him until that 5 TD Bear game. He made so many mistakes and would lock in and all that. Also Remember, Mark Brunel was the number two. But in the end, he was so tough and fun and he built Lambeau Field Two. Thank you, Sir.

I continue to find it unbelievable that people such as Al continue to turn a blind eye to the rather disgusting person Brett Farve turned out to be. Good player, not a good person, but that goes for many in the NFL and society as a whole. Like him as a player, but as a person he misses the mark...by a lot.

Farve the football player will always be in my memory as one of the key reason for the packers return to greatness. He was a great qb whose risk taking ways both won and lost us some games. Unfortunately Farve the man was not nearly as great as the football player. His retirements forced the packers hand when the decision was made to pass the reins over to a young Rodgers. His decision to say F the packers fans who had supported him throughout his addiction troubles and the ones who still stuck with him through TWO retirements just to stick it to Thompson and sign with our rivals is something I will never forgive.

This is the problem. I could go into nitpicking detail of Favre's many missteps, post Packers, but all it does is divide people (again).
That is why I have limited myself to a very generalised statement (about Favre) that does not bring up the nastier details.
Bottom line, if you want to cheer him, there are plenty of on field heroics to cherish. If you want to boo, there are plenty of off field antics to anger a Packer fan.
Those that cheer (tend to) concentrate more on the on-field player, those that boo concentrate more on the off-field personal stuff. Neither stance is right or wrong (as some would have you believe), its just Packer fans opinion.
