I think wide receivers are overpaid. I hope Green Bay keeps drafting and developing them instead of overspending on that position. You don’t see many teams winning the Super Bowl because of a highly paid wide receiver.

If Watson is deemed too expensive (with hamstring & ACL injury history to boot) several teams with cap space could use a high caliber WR. I would think draft capital wise, Watson would be valued late rd 1 ~650pts, where non NFC teams, particularly NE, DEN, KC--all Super Bowl contenders, offer a convenient 1st round pick.

Looking like the Packers, in 2027, will get 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th comp picks, with Gary netting another 4th rounder with his trade to Dallas.

Willis (who I project as netting a 3rd) is right on the cusp of 3rd/4th and which it willl be likely depends on playing time.
Doubs, with his $70 - $80m 4 yr contract (its not clear yet on the exact breakdown) is solidly in the 4th comp range.

That is a lot of ammo to move around the draft to where you want to be. They could even sacrifice a pick somewhere in the 3rd to 6th round in 2027, for a pick a round higher in 2028, if they wished to. Lots of options, enough even to take a flyer on a boom/bust player as long as they also draft other, safer options - that's not something they can do every year.

Lotta ballgame left, but it all looks pretty interesting at the moment.

Just would like to make a prediction. If Miami has some weapons and the OL can protect just average, Willis will have a big year. I have never been sold on Love since he came here. Watched him play ball out west and he only had one good year. Love has yet to proved that he can throw the long ball consistently and right on the money like Willis has.

Three Hall of Fame QB's were saying that Packers should look very hard at keeping Willis and trading Love because Willis is that good. But now he's gone. Too bad! Unless something changes with Love this year we will be in the same pickle with Over thrown passes to WR's that are open by 10 yards with nobody around them. Passes thrown in the dirt short to wide open WR's by 5 yards etc. etc. And those passes all coming when Love had NO pressure at all during key situations.

I know he had that one great 7 game run the other year but nothing like that has really happened since then. I didn't really see any of that with Willis the whole but short time he was with us.

Watch him make a big impact in the NFL this year. If not this year then in the near future. As for Love, I just hope that he can get it together like that one great year he had at Utah State. They say that his senior year he didn't have the WR's and that is why it was a bad year. Not true.Even if he did have a good WR corp it didn't matter. It was embarrassing to watch him.

After the N Hoods disaster 17.88 million for 358 defensive snaps... looks like the Packers are looking for some DB bargains maybe they can find a diamond in a junkpile with a player like Benjamin St Juste...
I do like his size, were he was drafted, plays special teams ( we will see )

GB didn't have a choice in not resigning Sean Rhyan, the market was drying up fast and the only center bargain signing was the guy the Lions signed. I think he will be a pleasant surprise this year playing exclusively center.

2027 Comp picks are piling up for GB, this feels like what the Ravens and Eagles have coming every year.

I called the Skyy Moore signing weeks ago mainly as a KR, but this dude was Top Tier as a college WR, he had 6 drops in 4 years. It was very surprising that he failed in KC with Mahomes as QB. Moore is an ideal slot receiver prospect because of speed, runs 4.3s, and shifty moves. I am not saying he will replace Reed, but he has the unreached talent to do just that at a much cheaper new contract. Just sayin.

The trade for the Colts LB is not a needle mover, I would have tried to sign Leo Chenel or the Raiders LB, Devin White who had 174 tackles in 2025. Chenel got 3 years @ $8 million annually.

I would be thrilled if GB could sign Calais Campbell for under $7 million per. He would easily be our best interior DL. Nobody would run on us and he had 6.5 sacks in 2025.

To me we need an upgrade @ TE. There are several cheap veteran TEs that could really help, including Charlie Kolar-Ravens. He makes so much sense for GB because he is simply a better all around TE than Musgrave. Better hands and 100% better blocker, Kraft, Kolar, & Whyle would be the best TE room GB has ever had. I would try to trade Musgrave for a NT or a CB that can start.

Hobbs was a colossal mistake, we needed a solid boundary CB and Gutey overpaid for a slot CB that played some boundary. STOP trying to fit sqare pegs into round holes. Rasul Douglas would have been a much better signing in 2025, and we could get him now for even less $$$.

A lot of fans excited about all the comp picks Green Bay will get.

So we draft them, develop them, and who knows.

By that time, Gute and MLF will be getting new extensions.
