"Anna's Wish" To Appear On Sunday NFL Countdown
Anna Schmidt's visit with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will be featured on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown.
By PackerAaron
During training camp I wrote about Anna Schmidt, the little girl who got to meet Aaron Rodgers through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I think I got more emails about that post than any other training camp topic. Obviously, Anna's story touched many, many people throughout Packer Nation. So it's wonderful to learn that Anna's time with the Packers will be featured on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown (11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET)
From Make-A-Wish:
A 13-year-old from Horicon, Wis., who received a heart transplant earlier this year, Anna attended a Packers practice in August through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She received all-pro treatment from the Packers – Anna got her own locker and jersey, hit the field with the team and Coach Mike McCarthy, posed for a “Lambeau Leap” and enjoyed lunch with her favorite players, Al Harris and Aaron Rodgers.
Emmy Award-winning reporter Chris Connelly, who hosts the annual SportsCenter “My Wish” series, interviews Anna and her family about her courageous recovery from a life-threatening heart condition and her adoration of the Packers.
I have no doubt this will be an extraordinarily touching feature.
Update: Here is the link to the ESPN video about Anna.

Thank you very much. Hot Damn! that sounds like the primetime slot for the whole Countdown show. Nice. It'll be a rare "Disney family moment" watching ESPN.

I'm not a Packers fan, but I just want to say I was really touched by this story. Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the Packers earned a lot of respect from me for what they did for this little girl. Make-A-Wish is my favorite cause! Way to go, Packers!

What a great story. Anna is a doll! A true inspiration. Sorry, Anna, but I'm an Eagles fan! Go Eagles!
