The Green Bay Packers are not strangers to large point-spreads in recent NFC games and shouldn’t be discounted as upset winners on Saturday. Once the two teams take the field the odds mean nothing. Where the smart money is riding on the Cardinals the Packers have the means to pull off a victory.
The 2015 Version of the Green Bay Packers has been favorably compared by some to the 2010 – 2011 Super Bowl Champions. There are in fact many positive similarities this season but the differences are striking as well.
During every Green Bay Packers training camp there seems to be a “camp-darling”, a dark horse who emerges out of nowhere to tantalize and excite the fan base. Last year that player was wide out Jeff Janis. This year Janis looks to earn more playing time.
If you took a poll of Packers fans you will find that they are divided on how well Zook will coordinate special teams. There are those who see Zook as just another McCarthy buddy who didn’t make much of a difference last year when he was an assistant. Others look at his coaching body of work and come away impressed.
