That's great and all Alex - but it aint "the blues". Was lookin' forward to a bit more of a Howlin' Wolf/Clapton vibe...

Seriously though - hilarious. Well done.

You will have to take that up with Alan Jackson.

Ted Thompson Blues
Written by: Tim

January 8th, 2009 1 comment Finally, my life has achieved notoriety. Some Ted Thompson loving hick made a song dedicated to me! Man, this is another reason why short Packer seasons are bad for people during the long cold winter of Wisconsin.

I hope you enjoy this at least a fraction as much as I did.

Since the expected douche bag on YouTube commented about the grammatical error at the end of the song, let me make something perfectly clear.

I saw the error right away. If you think I didn't, you're probably not aware of what I do for a living but that's not your fault.

If you think, that I think this song is good, you're solely mistaken. I was happy that you took a moment of your day to check out the video, but hardly care what you have to say about it.

It was recorded on a twenty dollar mic, with about twenty minutes of edit time (mostly looking for pictures of Topaz's), and about twenty more minutes of actually caring.

The bottom line is, if you think that I in any way-shape-or-form give a crap--that's really your problem.

You're the dumbass who decided that it was worth your time.

At first when I saw a video dedicated to my site I was elated, however after the initial enjoyment wore off I kinda felt bad for the guy. Your life must be meaningless to stand up for a man who has dismantled an entire franchise. Though I appreciated the keyboard solo, I felt that the attempt was much more pathetic than anything I could pull off on my site.

What will all of you homers do when Thompson gets fired? Its going to happen, he's going down.

Enjoy your weekends

@Alex Making the mistake and not taking the minimal time required to correct it before publishing are two different things. The fact that you are a "writer" and not just some yokel posting from the library before returning to your broken down trailer to polish off a case of Miller High Life makes it even more comical for me :)

Actually, Alex, it kinda looks like you do care. What do you do for a living? Let me venture a guess: failed sports journalist turned local sports fanboi. I knew a few at the UW before getting out of that Hamms swill state.

It is all part of my evil plan.

My objective is simple: Widespread Misery.

My motive is a little bit more complex: Hatred for all mankind

Stage One

To begin my plan, I must first expose a chosen one. This is you Dale. This will cause the world to sense a grave disturbance in the force, overwhelmed by your arrival. They will ask, "Who is this despoiler of all that is good and nice and true? Where did they come from? And why do they look so good as a dark gunslinger?"

Stage Two

Next, you must vaporize the internet. This will all be done from a obsidian citadel, a mysterious place of unrivaled dark glory. Upon seeing this, the world will gibber like madmen, as countless hordes of the religious right hasten to do your every bidding.

Stage Three

Finally, you must send forth Greg Jennings, bringing about a 1984 police state. Your name shall become synonymous with Green Bay, and no man will ever again dare refuse to be your prom date. Everyone will bow before your unmatched physical prowess, and the world will have no choice but to make you their new god.

Ted Thompson:

"I guess it's just part of the thing. I think the fact that people care so much about this place and whether we're successful or not, I think that's important. It would be different in a lot of places. I wouldn't receive this sort of scrutiny because they just don't care. I think we're blessed to be in this place and that's part of the gig, that you're going to be looked at and say, "Maybe he doesn't know what he's doing." That's OK. For the most part, I fly a lot, I go through airports, I'm out in public and the people who come up to me are friendly and very supportive. And I appreciate that. But I understand the other side of it, that people might disagree with us. I understand that there is a lot of information out there and people think he should do this in free agency or should draft this guy. I understand all that. I would like most of the people to understand that we're trying to do the right thing. It's not rocket science. There are things in this business because they're complicated and you're talking about relationships and how somebody fits in the locker room and salary caps, but most of it is about people and trying to get good people, trying to be a good person."

Ted Thompson’s Interrogation
Written by: Tim

January 11th, 2009 No comments
Must he always cross his legs like this?
Somewhere in the world, Ted Thompson was slightly less able to fall asleep on time this weekend. The countdown on his firing is now ever apparent to this man as The Journal Sentinel’s Tom Silverstein sat down with the Evil One and asked him the hard hitting questions that all Packer Fans have on their mind.

Not sure if that was a mistake in his answer or if Ted Thompson is truly an idiot but if you look closely he said being a GM is ‘not rocket science.’ While I’ll agree that its not as challenging as propelling a missile, being a GM has to be slightly more difficult than flipping burgers or else I’d get in line right behind Tom Silverstein for the gig. Have some self confidence in your job, Teddo, and maybe others will follow suit.

Of course he then goes on to say that matching personalities in the locker room is tough. Nice work bringing in Jermichael Finely then!

I appreciate that he’s ‘trying his best’ just like I appreciate the bum on the corner with a sign that says he will work for food. Glad the heart is in the right place, but I still don’t want you coming home and trying to put a skylight in my kitchen.

I really give Tom Silverstein and The Journal Sentinel kudos for putting together this hard hitting piece, asking the tough questions to the man that has earned himself so much deserved criticism in Packer Land. In a world where the media is routinely used first as a tool to support personal interest and report the news second, it is truly refreshing to see real thinkers like Tom ask the inconvenient questions which are on people’s minds.

This was a big day for me. Thompson now must fear for his job more than ever, because as we learned in the recent presidential election, once the media gets on board the sheep will eventually follow along. Though the Packer’s media is notoriously homer oriented, this recent awakening to Thompson’s failures is a tell tale sign of things to come in Green Bay. Anything but success next season spells disaster for this man and his fat puppet’s careers. Fire Ted Thompson Now!
