The Packers confirmed the firings of the defensive coaching staff in a media release, which also said strength and conditioning coordinator Rock Gullickson has been let go.
“These are difficult decisions,” coach Mike McCarthy said in a statement released by the team. “I hold each of these men in high regard on a personal level, and I want thank them for their service to the Green Bay Packers.”
This is hardly surprising due the numerous injuries suffered by the team the entire season.

This is huge for me. This is huge. This might be the best of all the firings. Time to find the article where I called Rock out now. This is the monday of death for GB employees. Mother of god they have to be walking on eggshells. McCarthy has to have an awesome Donald Trump impression by now. You're Fired!

I also agree that the firing of Rock Gullickson was a good idea. While you can't attribute all the injuries this season to conditioning, I think at least some of the more minor injuries can be attributed to conditioning. We had an unnatural amount of recurring injuries this season which hopefully the new strength and conditioning coordinator can mostly eliminate.

What's interesting is the packers spent a ton of money going to his free weight system when they hired him and gave away there other weight lifting equipment to 3 local high schools.
Now what ???

Wow, what a kneejerk reaction. Fire everyone else to save your own skin. Let's see where Rock lands and compare that against the new hire. I'll take the free weigh philosophy over the machine system any day.

I'll take healthy players over injured players any day.
