Frickin' Stupid

Now I am really pissed. According to the Milwaukee Journal the Packers have matched the Titan's offer sheet for Jarrett Bush.

What a load of crap.

How on god's green planet anyone ever thought this was a good idea is beyond me.

Confidence officially lost.

What if we present this same offer to Tramon, both are about at the same point of their careers, one is a standout on special teams, Tramon is growing into a nice corner on defense..

I think it could very well serve us well in addressing the Tramon issue that is looming.

We are going of forced to make Tramon that offer now. I mean what do we look like if we don't now? Yes, the bar is set, but I can't see Bush playing really helping anything else.

I see Alex is in "high dramatic" mode again.

i know that its the "cool thing" to hate Jarret Bush now... but I was on his wagon when he was drafted by Carolina so I can't get off now. you can never have enough secondary. and he isn't hardly as bad as many people seem to think.

It's really a non-move in my opinion. His contract doesn't hurt us and he adds depth to an aging secondary. He isn't a starter so i don't see how this is a stupid move. you damn sure don't want to invest as much time and money as we have into him and then let him blossom on a Titans defense that is pretty dang good. Its not like we are breaking record contract terms with him. Second tier player at 3rd tier price in an area of the team that you can never have enough of. I don't see the big deal besides the fact that he somehow unfairly became #28 2.0

it's getting publicity now.....but I hated him just as much when he was getting penalties, missing tackles and letting the ball hit him on punt returns.

It's not the point that he isn't a starter, it's the fact that most people want him completely off the roster. I was shocked he made the team last year.

Great ! Another yearr of # 24 holding etc.. to the Bush defenders eat this tid bit from the season ending numbers !
"The Packers led the NFL in penalty yardage with 984 after finishing second last year with 1,006. They had the second-most penalties with 110 after last year being penalized 113 times, which ranked fourth.

One of the worst offenders was Bush, whose six penalties were three times more than anyone else on special teams and the most by a special-teams player in Green Bay in more than 20 years. In all, the special teams drew 25 penalties, most since 2000."

Dumbest move I have seen TT make to date.

7 teams expressed interest in this guy. During the first wave of free agency, Charles Woodson didn't even get signed this quick. Teds an idiot for not signing Christ Canty a guy we knew NOTHING about to a ridiculous contract, and an idiot for re-signing needed secondary depth in the form of a guy we know everything about. Damned if he does, damned if he don't. Internet hypocrisy is easy AND fun!

Chris Canty is a separate issue. I was fine with his hesitance in that regard.

I like Ted Thompson, I think it's fairly obvious I do, but I don't understand this move. They truly must feel he is going to be a standout on special teams, because he doesn't seem to have the potential in the secondary.

"he somehow unfairly became #28 2.0"

3 times as many penalties as anyone else on special teams. More penalties than any Packer special teamer in over 20 years. That's how.
