Fallout Favre
I hate to waste space talking about anything other than how awesome our team looked yesterday, but since it's a bye week, I'll take a moment to talk about douchebags that used to play for the Pack.

I just got done listening to Jay Glazer doing an interview on the Jim Rome radio show. Firstly, for all the Favre apologists, this isn't some kind of rumor, it's the real deal. According to Glazer, the whole conversation originally started out as a plan for a hunting trip by Matt Millen.
As the story goes, Matt was trying to get ahold of Brett to do some hunting. During the course of that conversation, the week two game between the Lions and the Packers was brought up. Millen then directed Favre to the coaching staff and the rest is history.
There is no conspiracy here, but rather Brett Favre continuing to be the child he always has been. I don't doubt the story one single iota. Even Lion's coach Rod Marinelli had "no comment." A no comment from one the most "by the book" coaches in the league is enough for me. If it didn't happen, Marinelli would have said so ... immediately.
Glazer says he stands by his story one thousand percent and that is all I need to hear.
I would like to take this opportunity to applaud Ted Thompson for seeing the Favre situation for what it was - a whiny child trying to get his way.
You know what you do to whiny children that just don't get it? You give them a timeout.
In New York.
Enjoy your stay Brett, you're dead to most of Green Bay.
The Milwaukee Journal has continuing coverage.

What a load of crap. It may be true, but A LOT of people will not take any offense to this.
"He contacted them?" cornerback Charles Woodson said with raised eyebrows. "I don't respect that. If they called him and he gives them information, that's one thing. But to seek a team out, because, you know, I guess you're trying to sabotage this team, you know I don't respect that. I know he's been the greatest player around here for a long time but there's no honor in that."
He was contacted, you said it yourself. Yeah you could say he went out of his way, but how did it start? A buddy called him for a hunted trip. It's not like he's selling the idea to our opponents.

Doesn't change a thing. Just because your buddy's girlfriend gives you a call to see a movie when he's out of town doesn't mean you have to get her loaded and bang the hell out of her.

does confidentiality mean nothing?

The rumor mill that originally reported this story is giving evidence that refutes it. Check Pro Football talk.
Sleeping with a best friend's chick. Our offensive Coordinator even admitted that he didn't see any value in a player's (Let alone one outside the organization) advice. The gravity of what he did is almost immaterial. And, again, it wasn't premeditated. You all think he had the master evil plan to ruin us, when in reality, he may have gave some tips to a friend that really didn't mean anything.

Best movie line ever
Antoinette Lilly: Have you ever been married?
Bronco Billy McCoy: Sure. A long time ago.
Antoinette Lilly: Did you love her?
Bronco Billy McCoy: With all my heart. Sometimes that just isn't enough.
Antoinette Lilly: What happened?
Bronco Billy McCoy: I caught her in bed with my best friend.
Antoinette Lilly: What did you do to him?
Bronco Billy McCoy: I shot her.
Antoinette Lilly: What! What about him?
Bronco Billy McCoy: He was my best friend!

"The rumor mill that originally reported this story is giving evidence that refutes it. Check Pro Football talk."
It was originally reported on FOX pregame. I was watching it. PFT basically relayed what they had just heard on the same program.
"Our offensive Coordinator even admitted that he didn’t see any value in a player’s (Let alone one outside the organization) advice. The gravity of what he did is almost immaterial. And, again, it wasn’t premeditated. You all think he had the master evil plan to ruin us, when in reality, he may have gave some tips to a friend that really didn’t mean anything."
Our OC has to say that. The team can't look weak.

"Our OC has to say that. The team can’t look weak."
Really? Because he was referring to players in our organization now? His information from last season isn't even material in terms of this year. He didn't even speak with the Lions coaches. It was a casual conversation with Millen-- most of which wasn't even spent talking about the game.
"This happens every week in every city.. guys have friends on different teams, coaches from different teams.. its just going to happen. It's just at a little bit of a boiling point because it's brett, and its green bay....."
-Mark cannizzaro of New York Post
"It would be different if Brett Favre called the lions, which doesn't sound to be true....He just got cut from the team, and as long as he didn't initiate the call, they asked him and he gave information.. absolutely common place in the NFL no problem whatsoever."
~Mike Golic
You guys seem to like being bitter about this whole thing. And as long as you guys keep misinterpreting these things, the media is going to keep selling you guys these meaningless stories.

Ha.
Don't worry, the other shoe will drop soon enough, as Glazer and LeRoy Butler have hinted.

C Wallace:
1. Who cares what Deanna has to say.
2. It probably is true.
3. How's Taco?

So we shouldn't listen to websites because it's not true, but then we should go to Deanna's website blog to read what she has to say because that's true.
