The draft gurus have been hard at work again this week. As the curiousity heightens, the speculation reaches new heights as we peer into the mind of Ted Thompson and his first three picks.
The draft gurus have been hard at work again this week. As the curiousity heightens, the speculation reaches new heights as we peer into the mind of Ted Thompson and his first three picks.
Round One
#9: B.J. Raji, NT, Boston College - Video
The Packers are moving Ryan Pickett over to nose tackle, but that doesn't mean that they'll pass on B.J. Raji. Pickett is untested in the 3-4, and he turns 30 in October. Plus, it's his contract year. Even if Pickett thrives at the nose and gets a new deal with the team, Raji proved at Boston College that he can move around on the defensive line in the 3-4 system.
Possibilities: Everett Brown DE, Brian Orakpo DE, Malcolm Jenkins, CB
Round Two
#41: Clint Sintim, DE/OLB, Virginia - Video
The Packers need another 3-4 rush linebacker to complement Aaron Kampman. The team, already in need of someone else who can get to the quarterback, will take Clint Sintim, a talented player who could be chosen at the bottom of Round 1.
Round Three
#74: Jamon Meredith, OT, South Carolina - Video
With Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher turning 33 and 32 in June, respectively, it's time for the Packers to start looking for some young blood at offensive tackle.
This should give you a closer look at the potential for the Packers in the first three rounds. Catch the entire three round mock here.

I have been hearing Raji's name quite a bit as a possibility...which means TT will stay far away from him.

Although to be fair, this is the highest we have been since '06 in which he took the wise choice of A.J. Hawk...so maybe, JUST MAYBE, we will get lucky :)

A defensive tackle at #9? No way. Malcolm Jenkins, welcome to Green Bay.

Malcolm Jenkins would not draw my wrath at all. Guy is good.

I agree with Alex. But the more I have been reading, the more I feel that TT will go O-line.

disagree on MJ. He has some technical flaws in his game correctable...maybe and maybe not.

TT will trade the Number One Pick for Another Number One Pick and a Number Two
Pick......Then he will draft (some guy we've never heard of)a 2nd Rounder with the 1st round pick and then trade the new 2nd round pick for additional picks for Draft Day #2, and then
proceed to pick Packer People throughout day one and into day two, then he'll trade for additional picks for the 2010 draft.....He will then hold a Press Conference detailing how well the draft went. TT will tell us how much he likes this draft class, he's not sure if this class will provide an immediate impact but the fans will really like these guys because they're Packer People...Football Players. Ted won't disclose his draft board but he will say that he is happy with the draft and we'll have to see how this thing plays out...you just never know in this business. On Monday morning Ted will fly out of GB for a undisclosed Souting Trip and will be unavailable for further comment. It is speculated that he will take time to visit Bum Phillips at his Texas Ranch for a few days before visiting his parents.
