The Packers are looking to bolster their offense line this season by taking a look at former Bills center and fourth round pick Duke Preston.

According to sources:

"Packers coach Mike McCarthy confirmed a report on ESPN.com that Green Bay was interested in Preston, adding that the 6-foot-5, 326-pound guard/center had a good visit with the club and was an intriguing prospect for his offensive line."

Besides playing center, the versatile lineman can also play guard and even some tackle. Although his tenacity is still a question, I say go for it.

Dude is huge - could really help the depth in the interior line (which we need)

A couple of comments on the kid in reading last night, super "nice" kid, classy and professional. But also brings that to the field, not aggressive between the sidelines..

But he did bloody the nose of a ref.. but then checked upon him after the game..

Story...

http://www.nesting.com/news/sports/317471/Referee-Jeff-Triplette-knocked...

"Referee Jeff Triplette was knocked face first into the turf and had his nose bloodied during Shaun Ellis' fumble return for a touchdown in the New York Jets' 31-27 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

"I'm good, I'm good," Triplette told The Associated Press after the game, with both nostrils filled with gauze. "It's not a broken nose. It's just bloodied."

With 1:54 remaining, Abram Elam sacked J.P. Losman from behind and caused a fumble, and Ellis picked up the ball and rumbled into the end zone for the go-ahead score. During the hectic play, Bills center Duke Preston hit Triplette from behind and the official fell face first into the Meadowlands turf."

"6-foot-5, 326-pound"

Sounds like a carbon copy of the nose tackle in a 3-4 defense or at least a response. I know the Ravens made a similiar move for a bigger center.

I did some reading on Bills boards and they hate this guy like we hate Jarrett Bush. Makes me wonder. I'll take him though.
